Compact, Easy To Use Ice Cube Trays From Seniore

I love using silicone in my house. It's so easy to use! So I was excited to try out these Silicone Ice Cube Trays from Seniore.

How often do you try to stack trays on top of each other, one falling into the bottom one, tipping the whole pile, and then you have water splashed all over the freezer? It can happen a lot. Then if you have mismatched trays, the problem just gets bigger.

These silicone ice cube trays are perfect for stacking without having to worry that one will fall into the other because they all have lids. The lids do not snap on tight, they just rest on top of the tray. But with the lid, you have a sturdy base to set the next tray.

Since the trays are silicone, you can fill them fast and empty them fast. The ice pops out with little to no trouble, by just wiggling the silicone. You can even keep the lid on, flip the tray over and they all pop out on to the lid. Easy!!

Each tray holds 24 ice cubes that are about 1" square. You get three trays in three bright colors, and that gives you 72 ice cubes that take up a small space in your freezer. I also like the the cubes are smaller in size, making them great to fit into some travel beverage bottles.

The best part is with the lids, the cubes are covered and less likely to pick up odors from the freezer. To care for the trays you should hand wash them, as well as the lids. Don't wash them in the dishwasher.

There are tons of ways you can use these ice cube trays. Fill them with pureed baby food, small fruit pieces and water, ground up herbs to add to sauces and soups, just to name a few. The ideas are almost endless. I really like them and love the space saving in my freezer.

Protect Your Hands And Carry Heavy, Hot Pots Safely

How many times have you been cooking and go to grab the pan handle to find it super hot, much hotter than you thought it would be? Or how many times have you gone to grab your cast iron skillet handle with a nice oven mitt or pot holder just to find out it was not enough protection? I think most of us have had those situations happen and it's no fun.

Well Sunsella has a nice solution for that, it's the Silicone Potholder. Obviously from the name, it is made of silicone, which means that the potholder does not transfer the heat from the pan handle to your hand. Silicone is fantastic in that capacity, but it does even more.

The potholder slides over a large number of pan handle sizes. It's really easy to get on and take off. It's also very easy to take care of by either hand washing or tossing in the dishwasher on the top rack. Really nice thing is they won't stain like cloth protectors do.

The handle has small textured bumps on it that give your hand a good solid grip of the handle. Your fingers will not slide around and the handle will not slide around, making it much safer to carry heavy cast iron skillets safely. There's a good feeling of security while using this pot holder and lifting a heavy hot pan.

This is a fantastic item, and I can highly recommend it to you!

Quality And performance All In One Great Kitchen Tool

When was the last time you really thought about your spatula turner? Or have you ever really thought about it?

Well as a fanatic about kitchen tools and gadgets, I've thought about them probably more than I should, although not as much as the people who make them. I want something that is going to last a long time, work with all my pots and pans, work with all kinds of foods, and be easy to take care of.

I think I found one! No wait, I have!

Home Dejour has a really, really nice Spatula Turner that I have been quite impressed with. The handle and the turner part of it are made from silicone, and not just your average silicone. This spatula can handle things that are hot up to 600°! And if you forget that, it's printed on it. I wish everything silicone had the temperature limit printed on it. I don't always remember. Plus the silicone makes the grip on the handle comfortable to hols and not slippery.

The inside of the handle and going into the turner part is stainless steel. It is super sturdy and can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. The whole turner is hand washable or you can toss it into the dishwasher. The silicone is stain resistant and really nice and flexible. I love how you can push down on it in a pan and it gives well without worrying that it might break.

The turner is a good size too. It is a little longer than most and it will hold a sandwich really easily, as well as other larger sized foods like pancakes. For the most part, the length of the spatula is good. If I had to find one thing I didn't like about it, it would be that I would want the handle to be just a little longer.

This is not a cheap spatula, but you get what you pay for! I have always believed in getting good quality things so you don't have to buy them again for a long time! This is one of those things!

Versatile Silicone Muffin Pans ~ Gotta Love 'Em

Baking is one way I love to spoil my family, so finding good products to use baking is a must. One such product that is pretty good is by Keliwa. It is their 12 Cup Silicone Muffin & Cupcake Baking Pan.

First of all if you read my blog on even a semi-regular basis, you know I am a fan of silicone. I love using it for all kinds of things. Baking is no exception to how I feel about silicone. it is just so easy to use and take care of.

The 12 cup muffin pa is made from FDA approved silicone that can take temperatures up to 450°. Not too many things are baked at that temperature or higher, so you are safe using this kind of pan from pretty much everything.

When it comes to muffin pans I use them for mini-meatloaves, egg cups, muffins, cupcakes, ice, lotion bars, dog treats and more. They are great for sorting small things too and with being silicone, it's okay if the kids play with them. They won't get hurt!

There are a few things you need to remember about using silicone in baking. Normally you do not have to add any kind of grease to the pans before you add the food to be baked. A few things you still need to make sure and grease the pans for are cakes and cupcakes. Pretty much everything else comes out without a problem. I use a spray to grease the pans with and the really nice thing is the spray does not build up on silicone like it does metal or glass pans.

(Cupcakes I made then then promptly forgot to take pictures of after they were done. Sorry!)

The Keliwa muffin pan is nice. The cups are standard size and you can stack them together or roll them up to store them. That's another nice thing about silicone. Cleaning is rally easy. I use my regular dish soap in the sink like all my dishes. But you can wash them in the dishwasher too. Oh and the can go in the freezer and the microwave. Gotta love a versatile product like this.

Silicone Steamer & Oven Mitts From Cuisinework

It seems like these days you will find pretty much every kind of kitchen gadget that you have in your kitchen being made out of silicone. For the most part, that's not a bad thing. This new product to me, is one of the things I think it's good being made from silicone.

Cuisinework has a Silicone Easy Veggie Steamer and 2 Multipurpose Oven Mitts set that we have been using for a while now and so far, I like them.

Now I have tried out silicone oven mitts before. They are nice and super easy to use. These are no exception. The inside part of the mitts have ridges on them so you can get a good grip on pretty much everything you would need to pick up that is really hot or cold. I like them because I can maneuver really easily wearing them and don't have a lot of extra material or silicone in my way.

The steamer is new to me. I have used vegetable steamers for many years and have loved them. They are great for pretty much any fresh veggies you may want to steam for a healthier diet. The silicone is fantastic for this. The steamer can handle temperatures up to 500°! That means that it can handle boiling water with no problem and could also go in your oven to prop up something you bake.

The steamer fits in pretty much and saucepan you may have. it's 8" in diameter. If it is a smaller pan, the silicone conforms to the sides easily and can hold the veggies all nestled in the dish. If the pan is bigger it will sit in the center just fine on the raised bit on the bottom. The handle can be left open or it closes together to pick up with one hand if needed. There are small ridges on the bottom of the steamer to help prevent any veggies from sticking, but for the most part, most foods will not stick to silicone. That's one of the best things about it. The only thing I wish they would change about the steamer is that it have more of a bowl effect with sides to hold more. But that's not a big deal!

Both the steamer and the mitts are made of BPA-free and FDA food grade approved silicone. They are super easy to clean and care for and can be tossed in dishwater or the top rack of the dishwasher. Plus they are easy to store. Love that about all silicone pieces. This is a great set and I'm sure you would find many uses for them both.

The Naspira Helps Easily Helps Clean Out Little Ones Noses

One of the most miserable times you can have as a mom is when your little ones are sick, and the younger they are, the harder it seems too. They can't tell you where it hurts of how they feel bad, but I am thankful that there are companies helping us moms (and grandmoms) take care of our little ones.

NeilMed, the makers of the NasaFlo Neti Pot, is one of those companies. They have the Naspira Nasal Oral Aspirator for Babies & Kids. This is the neatest thing to have and so much better than just a nasal bulb by itself.

The Naspira is made up of a nasal bulb, clear plastic coupler, filter, tubing, and mouth piece. All the pieces are made of a high quality silicone and can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand and then sterilized. The Naspira also comes with a fantastic booklet that has all the directions in how to use and care for it, replacement filters, and a drawstring storage bag.

Using the Naspira is very simple. It comes assembled and ready to use right away, but the whole thing can be taken apart easily. The bulb tip end is placed in your child's nose and the mouth piece in your mouth. You simply suck on the hose to remove the mucus from your child's nose safely. The good thing is that the hose has a one-way valve that prevents you from blowing into your child's nose and a filter that prevents and of the gunk coming out getting into the tube or your mouth.

Now using the Naspira at first sounded pretty icky to me to be honest. Let's face it, little kid's noses can get pretty icky sometimes. But after trying it out, I was impressed with how well it works, how easy it is to use, and how safe it is to use. The neat thing is that it takes very little suction on your part to get it to work. But it is more suction that you can get by using just the traditional bulb aspirator. You can use the bulb by itself if you want, but having the oral suction really does get things cleaned out faster and more thoroughly.

The Naspira is easy to clean. It all comes apart and can be hand washed or put in the top rack of the dishwasher. The filter is the only part that can not be washed and reused. The Naspira comes with a filter in place and 6 replacement filters and you can buy replacement filters as needed. You can also sterilize the components to make sure they are completely clean and ready to use the next time. Directions are included in the booklet on how to do that. They also have great information on their website on how to use and care for the Naspira.

I am impressed with the Naspira. It really works, and it works well. It may seem a little icky at first to use, but then there are a lot of things with little kids that can seem a little icky to deal with. As a mom, we do it because we love them and it's good for them. I can highly recommend this to you!

The Yilove Silicone Bread Mold Is Fantastic

Baking bread is something I have always loved to do. I learned at a young age helping my Mom and Grandma while they made bread. But one thing I have never liked is how slow it is when I want to make lots of bread or special sized bread.

The Yilove Non-stick Perforated Silicone Bread Baking Mold is helping me with that! I really, really like this mold a lot!

The silicone is so easy to work with. It is light weight, easy to store and can handle abuse a lot better than my glass or metal pans can. It is so easy to use. No grease is needed at all and it can be put in the dishwasher or washed by hand. The mold can tolerate heat up to 482° and down to -40°, so it will handle pretty much every kind of bread recipe (not dessert breads though) that you can find.

There are four sections in the mold, which means that I can make four small loaves of bread at one time. This is perfect for what our family needs for special meals and saves me a lot of time and energy. The whole mold is about 10" wide and 12" long. Each of the depressions in the mold to shape the bread are about 9" long and 3" wide. This size makes the perfect sized small loaf for filling a bread basket on the table. My guys like the size for making subs at home and for cutting in half to make garlic bread for dipping into their spaghetti sauce.

One thing that is really nice about this mold is the mesh of the silicone. Since it is a small weave mesh, the air flow of the heat in the oven bakes the bread more evenly and a little faster than traditional pans. I was thrilled with how nice and evenly brown the bread was. You do need to place the mold on a sheet pan because it is so flexible. When you take the bread out of the oven, it just pops right out of the mold with very little effort. My biggest problem is finding the exact amount of dough to keep the sizes of the loaves consistent. I'm getting there, but my family doesn't really care. They just love the bread!

The bread comes out of the mold with a really nice, evenly browned crust and a soft interior. It is really nice and we are loving it. I know there will be a lot more fresh bread at here now. I highly recommend this to you!

Save Your Hands From Burns With The Orblue Cast Iron Handle Cover

I think one of the best ways to cook is using cast iron. There's just something about the way it cooks your food and how well the pans work.

But one thing that is tough is the handles get very, very hot. I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I have burned my fingers on a hot handle of a cast iron pan. So I was thrilled to be able to try out a new product from Orblue. It's the Silicone Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover and I love it!

The cover is made from a really sturdy silicone that will slip over pretty much any cast iron handle, and other kinds of pan handles as well. On my pans the handle fits nice and snugly, so it stays put really well. The silicone handles the heat and prevents it from reaching your hand. It's closed on one end too, so you don't have to worry about it sliding down the handle too far and getting burned on the exposed end.

I love how the silicone is textured. It helps me keep the grip on the pan handle secure and it prevents it from slipping around while I am moving the pan from the stove or oven to the counter or table. It's really easy to get the cover on and off the handles and it has a nifty little hole in the top you can use to hang it up with if you want to.

Cleaning the cover is easy, just toss it in with your dishes in soapy water. it's also easy to store if you don't hang it up. I just keep it on the end of the pan I use the most so it is always where I need it , when I need it.

I really like this cover for my cast iron handles. It's keeping my fingers nice and safe! It sells for a good price, and I know I plan on getting a couple more, maybe even a few for gifts. Remember, it doesn't just work on cast iron!

Fantastic Set Of Spoon Rests From Orblue

My husband teases me about being a neat freak sometimes because I am a little obsessive about a few things. One is cleaning messes in the kitchen as you cook. I tend to wash dishes as I am cooking so there is less to do after the meal. I also tend to wipe up the counters and stove a lot while cooking too.

Now you can imagine how much I really like a simple thing like a spoon rest. I really like them a lot since they keep the mess from stirring food in one place. That's why I really like these ORBLUE Flexible Almond-Shaped Silicone Spoon Rests. These things are so handy and having 4 of them is wonderful!

The spoon rests are made of silicone that is FDA approved for use with food, heat resistant, stain resistant, and extra large. They come in a set of 4 in 4 colors, green, blue, red, and orange. The colors are really bright and cheery and I love that the handles have holes in them. You can hang them up when not being used. They are also dishwasher safe too.

These spoon rests will hold even your largest spoons without things dripping off the side of them. The silicone does not give under the weight of the spoons either. They just stay put.

But here is the neat thing. You don't have to use them just as a spoon rest. They are great for a special serving plate for a dessert or special treat. They look cute siting on the table next to the plate and silverware ready to hold a butter knife, a roll, tea bag, special goodie to eat, and more. These spoon rests are really versatile and limited only to your imagination.

I really like these and will be using them for many years to come!
