Extra Large Bath Mat Is Just What We Needed

Safety in our bathroom is something I take very seriously these days. I have to, my husband has a lot of trouble with his feet and I need to make sure he is safe getting in and out of our big garden tub.

Dreams-ABM has this Extra long Anti Slip Bath & Shower Mat that we got to try out and I can honestly say it is a really nice bath mat. The first thing is the size. Since it is extra long, it fills out the whole tub and I know that wherever my husband steps, he will have a secure surface to step on. The mat is 39" long. It is also 16" wide, which is great for our tub since the drain is on the side and not directly under the spigot. The mat does not cover our drain like other have in the past.

The top of the mat has large circular bumps that feel like they are massaging your feet as you move around. At first, I thought they might be a bit too much, but after using it for a while, I have been very happy with how they feel. Each bump is a little over 1" in diameter. They feel great as you move around and they also help keep your feet secure as you do.

The back of the mat has good sized suction cups to help hols it in place. Each one is under the bumps on the top and they hold really well. It took a few times to get them all to stay down, but once they were down, they did not budge while we used the shower. This is, I think, the most important part of safety for me. As you step in and out, you feet do not slip or slide on the mat. Very important!

I think this is a great mat and can highly recommend it to you!

This Is One product I Can Not Recommend To you

I normally don't have to do this, but this is one time I have to. I love to give products the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes, they just don't meet up to what I think a product should be. This is one of those products.

H-set has this Silicone Anti-Slip Bath Mat that we got to try out and I can honestly say I was horribly disappointed. The very first thing I have to tell you is that it absolutely reeked of a chemical smell. It was so bad that it turned my stomach. Now we have had products before that have had chemical smells and we would let them air out for a day or two and they would be fine. This one, not so much! For as long as we have had it, the smell has not gone away. When it was in the bathtub with the door to the bathroom shut, the whole room smelled. It was awful, and with the door open we could smell it all through our master bedroom.

Now for the product putting aside the odor.....the mat is 16" by 28", is latex and PVC free. It is also made to be anti-bacterial. All of those things are nice and it was an okay fit for our tub since most of the time we have a bench in it for my husband because of his health.  For me, I would prefer the mat to be longer so it fit the whole length of the tub. The width was just right though.

We tried multiple times to get the suction cups to stick and stay stuck. The mat was having none of that. It just did not want to stay put. It seemed like every time I would move my foot on it it would give in that spot. This to me is a very serious thing since my husband has serious foot injuries he has to deal with and is very unsteady on his feet without his special shoes on. I don't feel safe letting him use it. I am thinking it is because the mat is quite thin. The last one we had was thick and weighed a ton. This one is thin and somewhat light.

I really cannot recommend this product to you but if you want to find out for yourself it does come in three colors, pink, yellow and white. You can purchase one of the H-set Silicone Anti-Slip Bath Mats HERE!

Want A Foot Massage While You Shower?

I asked Lisa if she would like to review a bath mat and I thought she was going to jump out of her skin. She said she really needed one and was thrilled to be able to test one out. The following review is from Lisa.

Great product, awesome timing!

The other day I slide in our shower 3 times and almost lost my balance and fell. I told my husband that we really need something to hold on to or something on the tub floor to keep it from being so slippery. Safety is a big issue and I need to think not only of myself, but my family too.

The very next day I was asked by Lois to try a Non-Slip Anti-Bacterial Wear Resistant Bath Mat Shower Rug from MyHomie. I instantly loved the design and knew my young daughter and husband would too. It has blue whales, bubbles, and waves pictured on it. It's bright and cheery and looks great in the tub.

The bubbled and bumpy texture feels nice when standing on it. It's like getting a mini foot massage while you shower. They say the texture is for reflexology and I believe it. I was absolutely surprised and impressed at the slip resistance too!! It did not budge one bit, nor did I. I felt safe the whole time I was in the shower. I know my family will be safe too.

I also learned the bath mat has Isanti-bacterial treatment which is great. The mat is mildew and mold resistant which makes cleaning a breeze and so simple.

Love this bath mat, and you will too! Oh and they also offer one just like it that has river stone images on the mat.

Need Some Secure Footing?

We have a big garden-style tub in our master bath. Although I love the extra space it offers for showering, it isn't easy to get in and out of. I am always very careful about my footing when doing so.

The Epica Bath Mat is helping me minimize the risk of slips and falls when I get in and out of the tub. The mat is made especially to prevent the growth of bacteria, which means that it not only helps keep us from falling but keeps us from being exposed to nasty gunk under our feet. I love that.

It's made from a heavy duty, latex free rubber, so it will hold up to a lots of use and abuse. This thing is substantial. When it arrived in the mail, I was surprised at how heavy it was. But it went down on the tub floor easily and it has stayed put the whole time; no shifting or slipping or give. It measures 16" x 28", which is good sized and works in almost any tub.

The underside has a ton of little suction cups. Most mats have larger sized ones, but these smaller ones really make a big difference. Since there are so many, most of the mat is kept securely held to the tub floor which gives you more security knowing it's not going to move. Plus they are made to adhere to even non-slip surfaces, so it will work in any style tub or shower floor.

You can see that the floor of my tub is made to be a non-slip surface, with texture built into it. The mat went onto the surface and has not moved, even after a lot of showering and one very large dog bounding in and out!

The top has a great texture that does not bother you feet but gives you a little extra traction while you are moving around. It just really adds to the feeling of security while you are showering. The texture also helps repel slippery soap residue. It's harder for it to build up on the surface, helping to not only keep your footing more secure, but making it easier to keep clean.

This is a great bath mat and I would highly recommend it to you!
