A Nice Set Of Fine Tip Markers From Magicdo

Whenever I get a chance, I love to be creative. Whether it is sewing, stamping, drawing, or any number of other fun things, I find it relaxing and uplifting to express myself through art and design.

One thing I love to do is draw and illustrate, so I was excited to try out these markers from Magicdo. The markers are water-based and fade resistant. The 0.05 nib is a good size to use for a number of projects you might do.

The set of 12 colors are fairly close to the color indicator on the pen. Most tend to dry just a little darker than the color on the cap.  They apply to paper really well. They have a smooth ink flow and there does not appear to be any feathering. I did find a few places where it was difficult to get an even coloring without too much overlap of the layers. The colors are nice and bright. I like them a lot and it is a good basic set to start with.

Unfortunately, these pens do not blend at all. If you try, it ends up looking a little like mud and the paper gets too saturated with ink. Also, depending on the weight of the paper you are working on, the pens can bleed through. I was disappointed with that, so I recommend in a coloring book to place a sheet or two of paper under the page you are working on just in case.

What I found I like these pens the most for is lettering and writing. The fine tip really helps me get a nice look and I love to fill in with colored pencil or watercolor. Since the ink will not run, it works great for that!

Really Nice Set Of Watercolor Markers For All Your Coloring

Drawing is something I have always done. In fact, I am a doodler. All my notes from school, sermon notes from church, small scraps of paper around the house all have little doodles on them. Have pencil, will draw!

So I love the chance to try out new pens, pencils and markers. I just got a set of watercolor markers from Magicdo to try out. They are water based and non-toxic, so they are safe to use with your kids. Each marker comes with two tips, fine tip and brush tip.

I really like that the cap color of each marker is extremely close to the color the ink is. Of course if you use a lighter touch, the color will be lighter, but for the most part, the marker color is the same color of the cap. The caps also stick on top of the end of the other cap, so no losing your caps!

I tried the markers on several kinds of papers to see how well they do. On standard copy paper the markers bled through a little, depending on how much pressure you apply. I also tried it on card stock and watercolor paper. Both worked much better than the copy paper as far as the amount of bleeding.

This is where I want to caution you, these would be beautiful for using in coloring books. The colors are vivid and there is a wonderful variety for blending and highlighting and shading, but the more ink you apply the more the paper tends to curl and warp because of the saturation. I wouldn't recommend these markers for your average coloring books unless you use a very light touch. For other art projects, I think these would be really nice.

These are nice markers with little to no odor and the colors are wonderful, vivid, bendable and work so well with each other. The plastic case they comes in is nice for storing them too.

Basic Set Of Gel Pens For Relaxing Coloring

The coloring craze is huge right now, and I understand why it is. It really is relaxing and fun. But there are so many kinds of markers out there to use. How do you know what kind to get? It can get kind of confusing and costly.

Well to be completely honest with you, it's a little trial and error and asking your friends. One kind of gel markers I recently tried out are AmazaPens Gel Coloring Pen Set. There are a total of 24 pens, 12 glitter, 6 neon, and 6 pastel.

The pens come in a nice plastic case with a snap closure making it easy to store them. I don't use markers very often, so this is really nice for me. I can keep them in the case storing them horizontally to keep them from drying out since I don't use them too often. By the way, storing markers horizontally is the best way to keep them all the time no matter how often you use them.

For the most part the pens color well. For a marker, they blend well and fill in fairly evenly. They are great for that kind of thing. Now for writing, not so much. Unless you are making very large letters, these gel pens aren't great for basic writing. A lot of the colors get lost on the paper without being outlined or next to a darker color. The glitter ones do well, the neon and pastel, not so much.

After writing with them on white paper I tried some on black to see if they showed up better. Unfortunately they don't even with coloring things in. To really get the ink to show up on black, you have to go over things several times, which is a waste of ink to me.

Surprisingly, the one pen I like the most is the white ink. It works well with my colored pencils for highlights and emphasis. I've used it a lot and like it very much!

This is a nice basic set of gel pens, and would be good for most coloring projects to help you relax. They sell for a good price too!
