A Sweet Gift For The New Little One In Your Life

When my kids were babies, I loved spending every minute with them. Well, actually, I still love spending as much time with them as I can. Even doing those everyday kind of things that seem a little trivial and simple. Being close and bonding with them is special.

You may think this is a bit weird, but even things like trimming your baby's nails, brushing their little gums and new teeth are things you can really enjoy and make special. Of course it helps to have the right tools too.

I really like this Now Born Baby Grooming Kit and know just the new mom I will give it to. This sweet little kit comes with seven different things to help you take care of your little one with ease, making what could be a struggle (yep, I had some of those days), something a lot easier.

It comes with the following items:
~ soft bristle hair brush
~ soft tooth comb
~ scissors
~ nail clippers
~ file
~ silicone finger toothbrush
~ soft bristle toothbrush

Each of these tools are scaled down to be used with your little one, yet still easy for you to hang on to as well. All of these things except one, were available when my kiddos were little. The one thing I really like the most in this kit is the silicone finger toothbrush. It's perfect to get your baby used to getting their teeth brushed, plus it can help soothe their sore little gums as their baby teeth come in. You can place the finger toothbrush in the freezer and get it nice and cold to help soothe the pain.

I also really like the extra handle attached to the nail clippers. It makes it a lot easier for an adult hand to hang on to those tiny clippers that are so nice to work with on those tender little fingers and toes.

The whole set comes in a really nice zippered case with a window front. It's big enough that when you take the pieces out of the plastic tray you can fit more things in it for a whole baby care kit all in one place.

This is a nice set and would make a good gift for a shower or to welcome baby home.

The Best Grooming Tool We Have Ever Tried

One thing I really love are my two dogs! These two guys captured my heart right from the get-go and have not let go! Taking care of them is important to me and sometimes it can be tough, especially with my Newfie. His hair is hard to tame and control since he has so much of it.

I am so thankful that I was able to try out the HandOn Gloves. What a difference it has made. He loves the attention and I love how the gloves help his coat!

The gloves are super neat. They fit easily on your hands and come in multiple sizes, so they will work for anyone. They slip on your hands and have a Velcro strap to hold them securely in place. On the palm are the neatest raised bits that work on massaging your pet's skin and de-shedding them. It's fantastic for bathing and grooming both and you can use them wet or dry. Bath time has never been easier!

Please watch this video and you can see how amazing these things are!

What we really love is that the hair does not stick to the gloves. We just have to flick our wrist a little and it falls off. Not having to trying to pull or pluck it out makes the whole process go much faster and easier. You can quickly get rid of the hair that came off and get back to grooming. It takes so much less time and our Bender is much more patient with us grooming him now. He would tolerate only so much before and get antsy. Now he enjoys it and when we put the gloves on he gets excited. It feels good to him. It's like a massage, and he loves the attention!

One thing we noticed with Bender and our little Scruffy, is that their coats were looking so much nicer after using the gloves a few times. The gloves help distribute the natural oils on their skin and hair and they feel better and look healthier. Plus bathing them both just got so much easier. The gloves really get down to their skin and clean all the nooks and crannies well! I love them!

These are the best grooming tool we have ever tried and both my husband and I love them! I can highly recommend them to you!

5 Reasons To Use A Dematting Comb On Your Dog

When you get a pet one thing you take into consideration is the kind of care they will need. Some pets require a lot more work than others. It's important to have the right tools and supplies to make sure they are healthy and happy.

When we got out Newfoundland, the amount of care he would need was something we definitely took into consideration. After all, with a dog this big and with this much hair, the last thing you want to be is behind on his upkeep! At 120 pounds, there's a lot to upkeep! LOL! So I really appreciate finding tools and supplies that help me do my job easily and keep him happy.

BarkOutfitters has a great Dematting Comb that is something I am so excited to have. We have tried a number of brushes, de-shedding and whatnot tools to help keep his double coat looking nice. But when he rolls on the floor and in the yard, his hair gets to be a mess and it takes a lot to get it looking nice and keep it looking nice. The Dematting Comb has been helping so much and best of all he likes it. Other things we have tried he will tolerate for only so long and then gets grumpy and walks away. I don't blame him. They pull and tug and scratch in an unpleasant way no matter how gentle I try to be.

So far, the Dematting Comb has not been like that. He enjoys it and even gets playful while we are using it. Here's why:

1. No Scratch Rounded Teeth - The computer designed round teeth mean they won't scratch or cut his skin like some dematting tools can. Sharp safety edges cut through the toughest matted hair easily and without a lot of discomfort with tugging and scraping like other tools.

2. His Health - Brushing stimulates the skin to promote healthy circulation and the release of healthy oils which increases coat shine. There's nothing like it when his coat shines and he looks healthy and groomed. He loves getting brushed a lot more now and it allows air to get to his skin. He didn't have a lot of mats before this tool, but his hair is so thick and heavy it was hard to keep looking nice all the time. This had made it so much easier. It also helps get out a lot of the loose hair and saves me from doing as much vacuuming!

3. The Tool Is Designed For Comfort - The soft, un-breakable, guaranteed, and ergonomic designed grip prevents hand and wrist strain no matter how long you brush your dog. You can imagine how long it takes to brush a dog as big as a Newfoundland. There's a lot of him, and we often would have to do a little then quit either because he got grumpy or our hands and arms got tired. It's much easier now. I do wish though that the teeth and the grip were on both sides so you could alternate hands.

4. You Can Support Pet Shelters ~ When you purchase one of the Dematting Combs the company will donate $1 for each one to a no-kill shelter which helps provide needed food, shelter, medical care and love for abused and rescued animals. I like that!

5. A 5 Year Guarantee ~ Just contact the company if you are not 100% satisfied for any reason and they will replace it or issue you a full refund. Can't argue with that!

This is a tool we will be using for some time to come and enjoy using it too!
