Compact and Easy to Use, Excellent Binoculars

I love being outdoors and enjoying nature. There is always so much to see and enjoy. But much of it you can't get but so close to either for safety, distance, or because you might scare away what you are looking at. That's why we always have a pair of binoculars with us. You may think that is a little strange, but it's not. It's actually very practical.

We recently got a really nice pair of binoculars from WideSigther. These are some of the best compact, yet powerful binoculars I have every tried and I love them. So does my family.

The binoculars are 8x21, which means 8x magnification, 21-Millimeter objective diameter, or a very large field of view. Many compact binoculars don't give you a very large filed of view and you can have a lot of trouble staying with what you are looking at if it is moving or even finding it to start with.

There are two focus knobs that are easy to turn as you are using them. There is the center focus and then a right eye focus making what you are looking at super clear.

I love how nice and compact they are. I can hold them in one hand in the case that comes along with it. These are not going to take up a lot of room in your car, your backpack, your camper, or any other number of places you can stash them.

The case has a tight Velcro closure and a loop on the back so you can attach them to a belt if desired for quick access. Or you can let the lanyard attached to the binoculars stick out of the case to carry them over your neck.

If you are looking for a nice compact pair of binoculars to take along on camping trips, to concerts, sporting events, hiking and more, these would fit the bill very well. The price is excellent and you get a quality product the will work for many years to come!

Nice Little Folding Step Stool with Anti Slip Dots

Ever find yourself where you can't reach something. You almost can, but you are just not tall enough. I find myself in that position a lot. Being only 5'5" I tend to be too short for a lot of things, especially for the cupboards in my kitchen. I think a very tall person designed it!

ORGALIF has come to my rescue! Oh I have a bigger multi-step stool, but it is, well, bigger and often too big for what I need. It often does not fit in the space I need it to and it is bulky to carry around. Most of the time I just need one small step up to get what I am reaching for. That's where the ORGALIF Step Stool has really helped!

This little step stool has been so handy to have around the house. It's extremely lightweight and easy to carry around with the built-in handle. It can be opened with just one hand by tilting the legs, then it can be folded back up with just one hand by grabbing the handle.

The step on the stool is 9" x 11", so there is plenty of room to just step up on the step and both feet fit comfortably. Then when it folds down it is only 2" wide, so it can store in a lot of places!!

I really like the little anti-slip dots on the step. It gives you a more secure footing and I feel safe using it. The step stool can also hold up to 350 lbs! That's a lot for such a small little step stool! Plus the legs are placed in a way that keeps the step stool very stable. I've been on many in my days that just did not feel secure, even some much larger!

This is a great little step stool and would be a great addition to anyone's home. I can see it being used for kids in the bathroom. Just right for them to reach higher and yet you don't have to leave it out all the time. It can be folded up when they are done and put in a place where they can easily find it. I see it also being used at the bedside for some of the beds that are really high, or again, for your kids to climb in and out easily. Or how about your pet getting up and down off the bed or couch. There are lots of places this little step stool would come in handy, even in your camper or vehicles, especially since it is so compact!

You can purchase your own ORGALIF Step Stool HERE! And it is at a great price!!

Camping Or Hiking, The Suaoki Cranking Camping Lantern Will Meet Your Needs

When you are out camping, one of the last things you want to happen is have your flashlight stop working, the batteries fail. Ugh!! And then you look around (as well as you can in the dark) to find the spare batteries you think you brought, to find out that you didn't bring them. Not a good situation to be in!

Suaoki has a nifty Cranking Camping Lantern that can help you with a situation like that! This small lantern is extremely handy and easy to use.

The first thing you need to know about this small lantern is it is very compact. It folds down to a very small size, making it easy to pack and store. It takes up very little room and it is really light weight to carry. When closed, the lantern is only 2" high and 3¼" in diameter. When opened all the way, it is about 5" tall. The lantern can be opened all the way or partially, or not at all and still provide light for you. It has three modes, off, on dim, and on bright.

The next thing you should know about this light is how easy it is to charge the battery. There is a 3.7V Lithium battery included in the lantern (not accessible) that powers the light. The battery can be charged two ways, with the hand crank or by using the Micro USB cable (enclosed with the lantern) in an outlet or you computer. The hand crank is super easy to use and it doesn't take too long to charge up the battery to work the light. You can also use the hand crank to help you charge your electronic devices. You can charge your smart phone with this little lantern. That's pretty nifty!!

The light is nice and bright, bright enough for a tent or small cabin, even a tent fort in your bedroom. It has a small handle to hang it up with if wanted and it can sit on a table or on a ledge with the larger light on the end up or down, depending on how much light you want.

This is a nice little lantern and would be very handy to have tucked in your car for emergencies, including a dead phone. Sit and turn the crank with your phone hooked to it, and in no time you can use it again. It would make a nice addition to an emergency kit, any backpacking equipment or camping items! Or send it along with your kid to camp!

Dealing With Excess Moisture In Your Home?

I am sure we are not the only family who has trouble with excess moisture in their house from time to time. It's a part of all of our lives and so is dealing with the effects of it, mold and mildew. Yuck!

The easiest way to help prevent that is to have a dehumidifier. But let's face it, most are too big for the small rooms where most of the moisture problems are (bathrooms, closets, small attics). That's where Gurin comes in! They have this wonderful, small dehumidifier that fits the bill for small areas.

Here is some info from the company:
The Gurin Mid Size Electric Dehumidifier uses Peltier Technology (no compressor)
which makes it light and quiet. This is a perfect item if you are having a hard time dealing with mold or mildew in your bathroom, on your boat or R.V. or in your house. It extracts the moisture from the air and stores it in a spill-proof reservoir. Just plug it in and it quietly dries the air. Features an automatic shut off switch to shut the unit off when the water reservoir is full. When this occurs a"full" indicator light will alert you when the reservoir needs to be emptied. Holds up to 1500 ml of water.

When I first got the dehumidifier I was surprised at how small and light weight it really was. We've had those large, bulky, and heavy machines in our home before. I can pick this dehumidifier up with just a few fingers it is so light weight. It also has a very handy handle in the back to carry it with. Love that!

But it really does a good job pulling the excess moisture from the air. We are having trouble with our bathroom fan and the dehumidifier has really helped keep the moisture down in the room. We run it when we take showers and it keeps things much drier, takes up very little space and is easy to maintain.

I also love how quiet it is. There is just a small motor sound with it, nothing much really, so it does not interfere with whatever else you may need to be listening to. If you use it in an RV or camper you could still hold a conversation or sleep with it on and not be worried about how loud it was!

The reservoir is super easy to empty. It just slides out when full, empties quickly, and then slides in again. Takes very little time and It does hold more than you think it would considering the size of the dehumidifier.

I think this is a very smart little product to have in the home. It is one you can pull out and use when needed, where needed, and not have to worry about a bulky unit to operate. It'll help you combat moisture easily!

You can purchase your own Gurin Mid Size Electric Dehumidifier HERE!! It's worth every penny!!

A Nifty Sports Bottle To Have On Hand

Living in a smaller sized home, I often think about saving space and products that help me do that. It's not that we have too much stuff. Okay, maybe it is, but I like my stuff and I need to figure out how to store it without it disrupting my life too much. Come on, you have too much stuff too and know what I am talking about.

That's why I like things like the Home Yile Collapsible Sports Bottle. This thing is pretty nifty! It is a full 17 oz sports bottle with a carry strap and it collapses to take up less space when needed.

The bottle is made from platinum silicone that is non-toxic, BPA free, and safe to use with all kinds of liquids, or foods if you'd like. It is super easy to use and easy to carry around either with your hand around the bottle or by the nice wrist strap it has, which has a duel purpose.

The bottle has a hard plastic top and cap where you fill it with your beverage. The entire top screws off and then there is a smaller cap you screw on and off to drink from. It is liquid tight and you can turn it upside down, lay it on it's side and it still will not leak (if you have the lid screwed on correctly).  To help keep it sturdy, since silicone tends to have a lot of give to it, there is a hard plastic sleeve that helps the bottle always keep it's shape and to make it easier for you to grasp without squeezing it too hard.

The hard plastic sleeve moves up and down on the bottle, making it easy for you to adjust it to where it is the easiest for you to hang on to it. I like it in about the middle. That sleeve moves all the way to the top of the bottle when you want to collapse it. It is really easy to collapse it too. You need to unscrew the cap so the air can get out. Lay the bottle on it's side, making sure you have the little hook just under the lid centered with the opening on the sleeve. Roll up the bottle by pushing down on the bottom and rolling like you would a tube of toothpaste. Grab the wrist strap and fold it around the rolled up bottle. On the strap is a little plastic loop. Hook the loop on the bottle and then close the cap again. All collapsed and easy to store.

This is great for taking on a camping trip, stashing in the car, or keeping with your picnic supplies. I really like it. There is no transfer of flavor from the silicone to your beverage, whether hot or cold. When it is filled with hot water or coffee, it becomes a nice hand warmer. Filled with something cold, it can be a great ice pack too. Oh, and you can freeze things in it. Pretty nifty!

It is easy to wash. You can hand wash it or toss it into the dishwasher on the top rack. Sometimes silicone will have an odd smell when you first get it. Rinsing it with baking soda will help remove that smell and will not harm the silicone.

I think this is a great sports bottle and it will come in very handy for us often!

You can purchase your own Home Yile Collapsible Silicone Sports Bottle in your choice of three colors, HERE!

A Lovely Small Sewing Kit

One simple product that I like to keep with me all the time is a sewing kit. You simply do not know when you might need one and I am often surprised at the ways I have been able to use the contents of one over the years.

One of the nicest small sewing kits I have had is from Sir Stitch Products. It really is a very good small sewing kit that will last you quite a while and contains pretty much everything you might need to do simple repairs and even a few complicated ones.

Here is everything that is in the case:
- (10) Needles in a holder case
- (2) Easy Threaders
- (12) Spools of Assorted Thread in Popular Colors
- (1) Measuring Tape 25 inches or 65 cm long
- (1) Thimble
- (1) Seam Ripper with cover
- (1) Scissors
- (18) Straight Pins in a holder case
- (4) Large Safety Pins
- (4) Small Safety Pins
- (4) Small Shirt Buttons
- (2) Large Shirt Buttons
- (1) Fabric Pencil
- (1) Compact CD size zipper case to keep your sewing supplies safe

That's a lot of stuff in one small container, and like I said, it pretty much will cover every need when you have a repair to do or you are in a hurry. A few things are not always in a sewing kit, like the pencil and the number of straight pins. Most sewing kits only have three or four of them, which helps, but certainly not enough sometimes. Having a few more really does help and the heads of the pins are good sized too!

The case is small and light weight, so it does not add a lot to a purse, briefcase or a piece of luggage. I also like to keep one in our car so my guys have one with them all the time. This really would be a great little kit to give as a gift to pretty much anyone, like a college kid, one for a friends office drawer, or as a stocking stuffer this Christmas!

It's a great little kit that you can purchase HERE!
