A Very Special Gift For A Very Special Young Lady In Your Life

When I was a little girl, one of the things my Mom allowed me to do was look through her jewelry box. I loved looking at her necklaces and trying them on to see how pretty they looked on me. The day I finally got my own jewelry box was very special to me, and of course my Mom made sure I had not only my own necklace for my jewelry box, but a matching bracelet too.

Little girls and young women love to wear jewelry as much, if not more, than adult women. It's something that makes you feel special and dressed up. So I was thrilled to get this sweet necklace from Box-Me-Not Jewelry. The Girl's Seahorse 18K Rose Gold Plated Heart Pendant with Pink and White Crystals comes in a Shell Jewelry Box and is perfect for a young girl, maybe even an older girl.

The necklace has an 18" cable chain with a 2" extension and has a lobster claw clasp. The two seahorses with the pink and white crystals (30 of them in total) form a heart with their tails entwined at the bottom. The heart is approximately 3/4" wide and tall, so it is delicate and works well on a smaller neck. One thing that is really nice to know is that the necklace is nickel and lead free, so it is safe for children to wear (as well as adults).

I love the box the necklace comes in. It is a pink velour box shaped like a clam seashell. The box is perfect for storing the necklace in or after taking the necklace out, storing all kinds of tiny trinkets in. The bottom of the inside of the box is fully lined making it a very special keepsake.

I know if I had received a necklace like this as a young girl, I would have loved it. It would have found a very special place in my dresser drawer of my small jewelry box. I'm pretty sure I would have worn it often. My guess is any young lady you may give it to would do the same thing! This is one special item for any special lady in your life and I can recommend it to you highly!

Delicate And Feminine Is How I would Describe Cloud Forest From Novica

When I think of precious and semi-precious stones there are several that stand out to me and that I like more than others. The two that would be right near the top would be Pearls and Peridot. Pearls because of the beautiful luster they have and how they feel against my skin. Peridot, because it is my birthstone.

I have the most beautiful necklace from Novica named Cloud Forest, that has both of those stones in one beautiful creation and I could not be happier! This has to be one of my favorite pieces of jewelry ever! This necklace has cream and moss green cultured freshwater pearls and polished natural peridot stones. The blend of the beads is so simple and beautiful. It lays really nicely on your neck and feels amazing. It is light weight and feels as airy as it looks. It has one very special touch that I have only seen on old jewelry that was my Mother's and Grandmother's. It has a small peridot stone at the end of the extender chain.

I have worn this necklace several times in the last week or so, and I have been really surprised at the compliments. People have mentioned how they love the color combination and how delicate the strands look. It is a very feminine necklace, yet not cutesy or in your face in the design. it goes well with a variety of looks and compliments especially people with green eyes, like me.

The artisan who designed this beautiful piece is Sasina and she is from the northern part of Thailand. Sasina said, "I craft jewelry with my good friend Busarin, who is also a Novica-featured artisan. I love jewelry so much that the need to adorn my body with it is mandatory. My favorite is the earring, because it is little yet can subtly decorate the wearer."

I can really appreciate how she feels and agree with her. Even one small piece of jewelry completes a look and can help make you feel and look special.

Something Every Mom Would Love For Mother's Day

Beautiful jewelry is something I truly appreciate, but I appreciate it even more when I know the company is helping others. Novica is one such company.

This necklace is a wonderful, handcrafted piece that can be worn with so many things. It is called Blue Clove and is a wonderful piece to wear.

The primary stones in the piece are Lapis Lazuli. The blue of lapis lazuli is such a lovely blue that is will coordinate with so many other colors. It's kind of like wearing blue jeans, they work with everything! There are also Cultured Freshwater Pearls that are all grey and of varying sizes. There is also Aventurine. Those are the lovely green and brownish colored stones. The small red stones are Carnelian, which is a lovely semi-precious stone that is the color of red. It is quiet and not in your face red, that accents the other colors beautifully. All of the colors on this necklace work so well together and make a wonderful statement.

Each and every piece is carefully hand knotted in place. There are stainless steel accent pieces holding specific beads at wonderful angles to show them off in the design like branches from a vine, and offer a beautiful floral design without being overly floral.

The artist of this piece is Sasina Leerasawatdiampon, who is one of Novica's featured artisans from Thailand. I love how Novica works with artisans in third world countries, helping them develop their talents and to share the products around the world.

This piece came with a lovely cloth gift bag and a small booklet telling you about the piece and the artisan who made it. I enjoy learning about an artisan like this. It gives the piece a more personal feeling for me.

I highly recommend this piece to you. It is something you can wear with a number of outfits. It sits so well at the base of your neck and does not twist or turn. It works well with casual to dressed up outfits and can go with so many different colors of clothing.

A Precious Piece Of Jewelry

Wearing beautiful pieces of jewelry is something I am sure we all love to do. There is something about the way it makes us feel and it truly does complete an entire look. The way the metal shines, the stones gleam, makes you feel special.

NOVICA has a lovely line of jewelry and one piece I absolutely love is the .925 Sterling Silver and Garnet Cross Pendant Necklace called 'Celtic Cross'. This is such a lovely, simple and perfect piece of jewelry for so many looks. You can wear it when you dress up or when you are wearing jeans and a tee shirt.

The cross is 2 3/4" long and 1" wide. It is just the right size to stand out, yet not be overwhelming . It has a 16.25" sterling silver chain with a lobster-claw clasp. The cross is made of .925 sterling silver. As soon as you open the bag it comes in, you can see the beauty of the silver and the craftsmanship. It is polished beautifully and shines like crazy.

The garnet in the center is a lab created stone, and is one of my favorite. My Grandmother wore a lot of garnet jewelry and it makes me think of her. The stone is .40 carats and is set in a way that the back is open. When the light shines through the stone it is beautiful!

I was impressed with the quality of this piece of jewelry and can highly recommend NOVICA to you. I think the only thing I would want to change is to make the chain longer. For me to wear it comfortably I have to add a small extension. It's not a deal breaker, I just wish it was longer.
