Getting Your Knives Sharp & Keeping Them That Way With Linkyo

One of the most important tools a home cook can have is a good set of sharp knives. But unfortunately, knives can become dull much faster than you think, so it is important to keep them sharp. If you are like me, one of the last things you want to do is sharpen a knife. Manual sharpening is just not fun, takes a lot of time and often the blades end up not being as evenly sharp as they should be. Knives should be sharp enough to cut through foods not crush and tear at them.

The Linkyo Electric Knife Sharpener is a great solution to help sharpen your knives and saving time and energy! This is a very nice looking knife sharpener and would look good sitting out on your counter all the time. It is grey and black plastic that is well made and would fit in with many of the stainless steel appliances in many homes. I wish it had been metal, but it is still nice being plastic.

The sharpener has suction cup feet that hold it securely to the counter while you are sharpening knives. I noticed on one of our counter tops it held securely, but on another I had to moisten the suction cups for them to hold better. That's something you need to keep in mind, but does not really take away from how well this sharpener works.

The automatic blade positioning makes it easy to get the knives into the machine easy and in the right position. Each side does a specific job, one side reshapes the angle, sharpens and rejuvenates each side of the blade and the other side does the fine honing and polishing of each side of the blade. I found myself pushing down on the blades when I first tried it, but that is not necessary at all. Pretty much just resting the knives in the slots and pulling them towards yourself works perfectly. If you push too hard the sharpener will not work for you.

I found the power switch easy to use. No guessing on that. It's also easy to clean out the metal shavings after using too. I recommend holding it over a waste basket so the shavings do not get all over your counter or floor.

Unfortunately you can not sharpen scissors or serrated knives on this sharpener, which is a bit of a disappointment for me, but it does come with a nice LINKYO's 2-Year 100% Quality Guarantee.
