How many times a day do your kids ask you questions you aren't sure of how to answer or you are really busy and don't have time to answer it? Or how about you want to encourage them to learn on their own to find the answers to their questions? Being a former home schooling mom, I tend to lean toward the latter of those. I wanted my kids to study and learn for themselves.

One of the best books I ever wanted them to learn from was and still is, the Bible. Boy do I wish I had this other book to go along with the Bible when they were younger!

365 Bible Answers for Curious Kids, by Kathryn Slattery, is a tremendous tool for every Christian home! Through a daily devotional, questions about God, the Bible, and faith are answered in a loving way that points children to God's plan and His love, supported by what is in Scripture.

As a parent and hopefully some day a grandparent, I appreciate the thorough research and accuracy for this wide range of theological, historical, and faith topics.

 

In addition to faith topics, this devotional addresses topics such as Christian traditions, the historic growth of Christianity, how to become a Christian, and what it means to be a Christian in today's world.

There is a fantastic index included in the book that helps kids find something specific when they are reading. The topics in the index are: time, God, God's promises, Jesus, God's Holy Spirit, the Bible the Old Testament, the New Testament, Christianity, prayer, the Church, Christian seasons, holidays, and traditions, being a Christian here and now, and eternity. There are some topics there that I bet you may have a hard time answering in a way kids will really understand and appreciate.

I love how the book is written in a way that kids can do the devotions alone or you can do them as a family. They can also stand on their own. You don't have to read them based on the days of the year. I think it would be fun to do a topical study on specific things like time, promises, etc.

This book is something I will be glad to give as a gift to several of my friends who have kids. It's a great way to get your children excited about the details and the amazing facts in the Bible.

Museum Trees For All Your Decorating Needs

My husband says that sometimes I am too picky about what I want in our home. I'll admit, he's a little right. Okay, he's a lot right. I really do want specific things and style in our home. I also want quality products, so finding a company that carries a wonderful variety of things to choose from is a big deal for me.

Both sites have an enormous inventory to pick from.  I found myself amazed at the various choices and style, everything from contemporary to rustic, and seasonal items for decorating your home or business. Just in the Home Decor section they have over 6000 products.

The site is very easy to search and to browse, making shopping a breeze. Although, it is tough to chose just one or two things! Placing your order is simple as well. and the packaging for your product is some of the best I have ever seen. What I ordered from the company came fast and very well protected. I was impressed!

I was thrilled when I received my Silk Plants Direct Tray Stand in Gray Rust. It is gorgeous! It fits my style and I can think of a lot of different places in my home to use it.

The stand is approximately 25" tall and 17" wide at the base. It's very good sized and will hold a lot! After some debate as to where to use it, in the kitchen to hold fruit, on the kitchen table to hold napkins, salt & pepper, on the desk to hold bills and supplies, I decided to place it in my craft room. It is now going to hold all my paint brushes, colored pencils, drawing pencils, watercolor pencils, specialty tools and brushes, and more. It's perfect. Small containers are now corralled into one space and it is saving me a lot of room!

The stand is really well made. The two trays are made from steel and the legs and handle are made from iron. It has a great rustic look, yet it could fit in a more classic style home as well. I love it on my crafting desk, but I can also see it in my kitchen, or even outside with plants in it. The possibilities are only limited to my imagination. (You can purchase it right here!)
