Creativity Is A God-Given Thing We Each Have ~ Embrace It

One thing my husband soon learned about me was that I love to create thing, whether it is through cooking art or even in the garden. it's a big part of me and I truly believe God created all of us to be creative in our own distinct ways.

This book by Speake and Stuart is such a wonderful book for anyone who loves to create and for
those who aren't sure if they have a creative bone in them. They show you throughout the Word of God how he encourages us to be creative as He was creative. He made each of us uniquely and we each can have our own form of creativity. The cool thing is we can use that creativity as a form of worship. I love that!!

This book is really encouraging and sparks good discussion and ideas. You'll feel like getting busy worshiping God through the creative things you do or discover in your life for and with your family and friends!

About the book:
What was God thinking when He created you creative and then gave you children?

Creative moms often feel as though they must lay their passions down. But God had something special in mind for the creative woman during this intense season of mothering.

In this Pinterest age of handcrafted children's parties, Instagram photos of beautifully decorated homes, and blogs filled with poetry and prose, it is clear that we are in the midst of a brand new artistic renaissance. Not one born in Italian cathedrals or Harlem jazz clubs, but rather in kitchens, nurseries, and living rooms around the world. Mothers, working in the cracks and crevices of each hectic day, are adorning the world with their gifts, and they're showing all of us the beauty of this Life Creative.

In this book, you'll learn:
-Why the world needs your art
-How this Life Creative begins at home
-When art can turn a profit
-Your part in this modern day Renaissance

Life Creative paints the stories of moms, just like you, who are fitting their inspired lives into the everyday, ordinary places of motherhood. Women like home decorator Melissa Michaels and jewelry designer Lisa Leonard, author Angie Smith, recording artist Ellie Holcomb, and many more.

Encourage Imaginative Play With Your Children

Dinosaurs! What family with children, girls or boys, has not had dinosaurs in their home at one point or another. Those big lizards are something all kids enjoy learning about and playing with. My kids were no exception and neither are the kids of my friends.

Kids Imaginative has a fun set of dinosaurs that would be a great addition to any kids play box. The set is made up of 12 dinosaurs that are made of safe material that is BPA-free, lead free and have no small parts with them.

Each of the dinosaurs is made to look like what most scientists believe the real ones looked like, except their coloring. Some of the coloring is not exact by any means, but they are bright and fun to play with. They are also not to scale. All of them are pretty much the same size, which we know was not the case since a tyrannosaurus and a triceratops were not the same size. But they still offer a chance for the kids to have some fun playing no matter their size. Their exact scale sizing is not the important part, it's the creative play.

The dinosaur set is a great way to encourage your kids in imaginative play. I remember zillions of hours with my kids having all kinds of adventures with theirs. Each boy would be one or two of the dinosaurs and they would have secret missions, wars, mysteries, and more with them. It was always fun to listen to them as they played.

One thing this set of dinosaurs can do is spur on your child's desire to learn and that's one of the best things. Encouraging a child to want to learn is important and lots of their play things can help them do that. These dinosaurs are no exception to that.

This is a fun set of dinosaurs and would be a great gift for your kids, party favors , extra reward toy, and more. And they are sold at a good price!

Beautiful Designs To Spark Your Own Creativity And Reduce Stress

If you have not noticed yet, one of the newest things are adult coloring books. To say the least, this stirs up some interesting things in some people. Some are seriously against it, thinking it is a time waster and selfish. Others see it as a way to relax and take part in something creative.

I happen to be a bit in the middle of this, but I do know that one thing is for sure, it is a good thing to take part in something creative and artistic. As humans, that is a very important part of who we are. So, I have no problem taking part in an occasional coloring session! It's good for me.

Lifestyle Dezign has a wonderful series adult coloring books, Tranquilogy that I got to try out. I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. Throughout the book there are beautiful pages just waiting to be colored . There are a variety of designs from realistic to fanciful, and each one is just waiting for a special touch from me.

Here is a little more specific info from the artist:
Lifestlye Dezign Coloring is a purpose-driven business of life enthusiasts whose mission is to provide you relaxation, inspiration, and happiness through the creation of beautiful, original adult coloring books. We live by the mantra "the secret to living is giving" which is why we donate 10% of all profit to charity, mental health, and animal advocacy. Be inspired by quotes throughout to encourage positivity, mindfulness, and the joys of the present.
Develop your mind with coloring is shown to train the brain to focus while improving fine motor skills and vision. Escape to a world of inspiration with hours on end of creative, judgement-free mental relaxation. Channel anxiety and stress into artistic fulfillment with designs ranging in complexity from beginner to advanced.

I have to say, that as someone who loves to be creative and does love to draw, this was a good experience for me. I could sit and concentrate on the page as I colored and the stress of my day slowly melted away. It's similar to when I get crafty and make something. It's very good for me.

This adult coloring book features 45 beautiful, hand drawn stress relieving designs to color including animals, flowers, paisley patterns, nature scenes, and mandalas. The designs leave a tremendous amount of room for your own personal creativity. If you like things to be more realistic, you can color them realistically. But there is also the option of creating something fanciful and fun. It's all up to what you feel like doing, and you get to relax while you color with pencils, chalks, ink, even paint. If you choose to use markers or paint, you might want to remove the page from the book first, or place something absorbent under it. The pages are a heavier weight of paper, but not card stock and anything liquid base may bleed through.

Coloring books for adults are not for everyone, but I do know those who take part in them really do enjoy it and find them helpful. it reminds me a little of years ago when paint by number was around. it's very similar. If you have never tried one, I highly suggest you think about it. It may be just what you need to help you get through some stress in your life a lot more easily!
