Love This Cast Iron Cleaner!

I don't know anyone who does not like to cook in cast iron pans and pots, well except those who never learned to cook in them. Cast iron leans itself to amazing seasoned food and the pans get better with age!

But....you knew there had to be one, cleaning cast iron is not always the easiest. No mater how well seasoned it is, some things will stick if you are not careful about how you cook them, or if they are used by a well meaning, uneducated in cast iron family member. It takes some major scrubbing and then you have to season them again. It can be very time consuming and you lose all that wonderful seasoning and conditioning that has built up on the pans.

That's where the Hudson Cast Iron Cleaner comes in so handy! I can not say enough good about this thing! Seriously, it is the best thing for getting your cast iron cookware clean and keeping it clean! The scrubber is made of 316 stainless steel and is 7" x 7". It's heavy but not too heavy. The weight of it helps it clean easily and quickly.

It's super simple using it. Just scrub away to your hearts content to get all the crunchies and ick off your pans. No chemicals, no soap, no need to reseason! I love it! And it washes up in regular dishwater or in the dishwasher. I would recommend hooking the ring attached to the chain mail over a spindle to keep it from shifting too far. When you are done using it, you can hang it up with the same ring, ready to use the next time. Oh and since it is made of stainless steel, it won't rust! Yay!

The neat thing is that it also works on other surfaces, like glass, enamel, Pyrex, and stainless steel. It gets to the gunk that can build up without scratching anything. I have been amazed at how well this thing really works! Everyone who cooks with cast iron needs at least one, and I would say get an extra!
