Book Six Of The Journey of the Heart Book Series By Colleen Coble

A Heart’s Home

This is the sixth and final novella for the Journey of the Heart book series by Colleen Coble. The final book is a wonderful culmination to the story for the characters. It is an appropriate ending of the continuing story of Jacob, Amelia, Rand, Sarah, Isaac, and especially Emmie. This is not a book that can stand on it's own. It ties all the loose ends together and covers a lot of emotional things for our characters. There are lots of ups and downs for them all and you are drawn into the story with a desire to find out what the outcome will be.

Colleen kept us going right up to the end and it was so good to see what happened, especially with the babies. That line of the story really tugged at my heart! It was such a joy to see each of the characters trusting God and learning to lean on Him. Trust me, this will keep your attention all the way through and you will want to go back and read all six novellas as one whole book. It would be worth it too!

About the book: Emmie’s hope for a life with Isaac is overshadowed by a tragic loss at Fort Phil Kearny.

Isaac Liddle is keen to marry Emmie, and she knows she shouldn’t hide her pregnancy from him any longer. But before she can tell him her secret, a widower friend asks the impossible of Emmie: Will she honor her promise to his dead wife by marrying him to care for the orphaned baby?

With the Sioux Wars threatening outside the fort, Emmie’s solemn vow threatens her happiness from within. Will she honor a promise sure to break her heart—and Isaac’s? Or is there another way to find a home for her heart?
