Eco At Heart Stainless Steel Straws Giveaway

Do you ever wonder what happens to the plastic that you throw in your trash? Even though many of us recycle and a lot of plastic is reused in new products the majority ends up in landfills, never to be recycled or reused.

What kind of effect does it have on your body? Plastic is made up of so many chemicals that are toxic to your body. Bisphenol A (BPA), Phthalates, Vinyl Chloride, Dioxin, and Styrene are just a few that are in many of the plastics you use every day. Many of those toxins are released into the food you eat by simply being contained and stored in the plastic. Some are released when plastic is heated (frozen dinner in plastic).

If you're concerned about the effect that plastic has on your body, or if you want to reduce your plastic footprint on the planet, then ECO AT HEART can help you start.

ECO AT HEART is releasing the first of many products in their eco-friendly alternatives to plastic with a 5-pack of stainless steel straws. The perfect starting point for you to become a conscious consumer and eliminate plastic from your life. They even come in a recycled paper box. Believe me, these straws are so neat!

Here's some key points about their Eco at Heart stainless steel straws:
  •  Extra wide 3/8" - perfect for those thick smoothies
  • Odorless & Tasteless
  • Reusable
  • 5-pack - perfect for the whole family
  • An excellent gift idea
  • Free eBook included packed with 25 Smoothie recipes
  • BPA Free - Dishwasher Safe
  • Store in the freezer to keep drinks chilled
  • 18/8 Grade stainless steel - won't rust or bend
  • 8.5" Long, highly polished and perfectly straight

We love our straws. They are easy to drink from, never collapse, don't split, and can be reused over and over again. They are super easy to wash and each box comes with a nifty cleaning brush made the exact size to fit the straws and clean then effectively. They can even go in the dishwasher too.

I love how one end of the straw has little ridges on it, so you can grip it with your hand and your fingers won't slip. Plus they are extra wide, which is great for smoothies that may have a few large clumps in them.

My only caution with the straws is in using them with warm or hot drinks. Obviously, the metal will heat up and could burn your fingers, so use caution if you choose to use the straws with a hot beverage. I personally would not recommend it!
