Sabi Chop and Crush Reviews

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Are you one of the nearly 70 percent of Americans on at least one prescription medication, like me, or more than 51 percent that take two prescription medications a day? According to the new study by the Mayo Clinic, one out of every five patients are on more than five prescription medications that are taken daily. That doesn't even include the vitamins and other supplements many of us take every day.

In another review I mentioned that Sabi has created a lot of innovative and very neat looking products for pill storage. Here are two more products that they sent me to try out!

The first product I tried is the one in the front in the image above. It is the Chop. Basically it is a pill cutter.
Here's a little about Chop:
Different people split pills for different reasons: some pills, especially daily vitamin supplements, are so large that they can be difficult to swallow whole. Oftentimes, pills come in only one high dosage version and you need to halve or quarter them to get a lower dose. Others split pills because it’s more cost effective, since higher-dosage pills frequently cost the same as lower-dosage ones.No matter the reason, if you split pills regularly you have likely encountered many pill splitter pitfalls. When we began to investigate the task of splitting pills we quickly realized that this seemingly trivial task is actually riddled with problem. We wanted to create a superior pill splitter. We designed a pill splitter that can split all pills of any shape or size, cleanly, accurately, and easily. It employs a non-steel/non-razor durable plastic poly blade so it’s safe and won’t easily wear down. And you don’t have to worry about it rusting if it gets wet so it’s easy to clean. We made it adjustable to all pill types, easy to hold and press, and at the same time fun to use and beautiful to look at. We hope that when you use CHOP, you’ll get into the ritual of snapping your pills to size and use the moment to stop, breathe, and think on the importance of your health and the time you invest in ensuring your healthcare is accurate, non-wasteful and… just plain fun.

For larger pills I really like the Chop, but for smaller sized pills it can be a little problematic. They are too small for the cutter to not crush up or break up the pill. That's a problem for me since the pill I am prescribed is small to begin with and I have to cut it in half for my dose. But like I said, with larger pills it works great.

The second product I tried out I just love! I have a dear friend who has a horrible time swallowing pills. Sh struggles with it every day. I have seen her sit with her pills and a cutter cutting and re-cutting and cutting again to get them small enough for her to swallow. This is the perfect answer for her, especially since she has trouble with arthritis.

Here's a little about the Crush:
CRUSH is for people who don’t like taking pills or who have difficulty swallowing them and instead choose to crush medications into a powder and ingest them in food and drink.
Most pill crushers on the market require repeated twisting and untwisting to get the job done, and can be very difficult on the hands. In addition, most pill crushers out there can only crush small pills and cannot handle turning larger pills into powder. Finally, we couldn’t find one single pill crusher that doubled as a pill box.
So, we created a pill crusher with real muscle that does most of the work itself and is ergonomic and easy on the hands and wrists. CRUSH quickly and effectively crushes all tablet types of all size, shape, and texture. And it’s a self-contained, all-in-one crusher-and-case.
CRUSH is easy to clean and fun to use. We hope that when you use it you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how little it makes your hands work. We hope it will inspire you to take a moment to stop, listen to the snap and crunch, and appreciate the strength it takes to stay healthy.

Your pills store easily in the top and are sealed in safely. When you need to break apart a pill you place it in the bottom and slowly screw on the top. As it screws into place it crushes the pill, so you can crush it or break it apart a little or a lot!

Again, these are products that I am really impressed by. Although there are little things I may not like, overall the products are very well made and work great. The innovation and number of designs to fit specific needs are awesome. Check them out for yourself!

Sabi Shake and Carafe Container Reviews

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Are you one of the nearly 70 percent of Americans on at least one prescription medication, like me, or more than 51 percent that take two prescription medications a day? According to the new study by the Mayo Clinic, one out of every five patients are on more than five prescription medications that are taken daily. That doesn't even include the vitamins and other supplements many of us take every day.

In another review I mentioned that Sabi has created a lot of innovative and very neat looking products for pill storage. Here are two more products that they sent me to try out!

The first product I tried out from Sabi is the Shake Pill Box. I really like this container. You dump all you pills in it and then you don't have to touch a bunch of pills just to get out one or two. You simply turn the container over, give it a little shake and several pills fall out into the top. Turn it back right-side-up and open the top. Your pills are there waiting for you. Love it!

Here's a little about the Shake pill box:
We wanted to create an alternative bottle-style pill box that would be more stylish and more fun to use, that would sit on bedside table or kitchen counter and be the first thing you reach for in the morning, that would help you stick to your daily vitamin or pill routine. It was an intriguing design challenge. It was important for us that the pill box cap would be easy to open and not strain the hands and wrists. It was also important to us that the pill box would only release one or two pills at a time, to reduce handling of pills and germ transfer. And so we created the SHAKE pill bottle-inspired pill box. Transfer your pills into the SHAKE pill box, close the lid, shake, open the lid and retrieve one or two pills from the tray. The SHAKE pill box lid is inset with an expiry date dial and there’s an inset cork caddy at the bottom of the pill box so you can plug the pill box opening to ensure pills remain inside the pill box (rather than rattle around on the tray under the lid) during rough travel. The SHAKE pill box is guaranteed to make taking your pills safer, easier, and yes - even fun!

A little more you need to know is that the little white plug you see in the cap comes off and can be stored on the bottom of the cup! You won't loose it!

It's really easy to shake a pill or two out.

The second product is the Carafe, a simple little water cup that also has a pill storage compartment in the top. Here's a little about the Carafe:
It has happened to all of us. We go to take a pill but we don’t have a glass of water on hand. So we get up and walk to the kitchen or bathroom to fetch a glass of water. The CARAFE water cup and pill box in one is our answer. A combined pill box and water cup, The CARAFE water cup and pill box is handy to have around the house or office, on your bedside table or desktop. The CARAFE water cup holds 124 ml of water and its pill box features two large compartments suitable for pills of any shape and size.

One thing I have found when it comes to taking pills on the go is there never seems to be a cup handy to use. Years ago they used to make collapsible cups, but I have not seen any of those for a long time. The Carafe is a super handy thing to have along with you when you travel or just to keep by your beside. You can keep a small amount of water in it and let it sit on your nightstand just in case, with the pills in the top compartment. When travelling you always have a cup to use and your pills handy with it! My only problem is that the stopper top does not always want to stay on tight. With repeatedly taking it on and off  it gets a little loose. So the pills may fall out. Just be careful!

Sabi products are very much worth checking out. The variety they have and the uniqueness of them is something. They have many more than just these, but i am sure you will enjoy them!

Sabi Holster and Folio's For Pill Storage and Travel Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Are you one of the nearly 70 percent of Americans on at least one prescription medication, like me, or more than 51 percent that take two prescription medications a day? According to the new study by the Mayo Clinic, one out of every five patients are on more than five prescription medications that are taken daily. That doesn't even include the vitamins and other supplements many of us take every day.

I know I have trouble remember to take pills when I am supposed to, so is my husband. It's hard to remember when life gets busy and you are focused on other things.

Sabi has come out with some solutions to help with those problems, especially for traveling and taking medications with you to work or on the run. I was able to test out some of their products and have a chance to share them with you.

The first one I tested was the Holster Grande. In the image above it is the small container in the front. Here's some specifics about it:
The HOLSTER grande pill box is a larger version of our HOLSTER pill box. It is for those who need to carry a larger number of pills, or larger sized pills, in style, each day. This three-compartment daily pill box (2 compartments in the slide-out cartridge, plus one “secret compartment” under the cap) is the perfect pill box for the heavy pill, vitamin or supplement user on the go.
The lid snaps open and the inner cartridge is easy to pull out and push in, securely closing with a click. Deep compartments hold pills of all shapes and sizes and contents are easy to remove.
The HOLSTER grande pill box is convenient and clips to anything - a bag, a briefcase, a pocket - so that pills of all sorts, from prescription drugs and vitamins to aspirin and sleeping pills, can be accessed quickly, easily, and shamelessly - on flights, on the road, or at a trendy little café.

I really like this little Holster. It is easy to use, holds enough pills to get through the day and holds larger sized pills. Several supplements I take are good sized and bulky. The little Holster does a great job holding them for me.

The other two products I tried out are the Folio and the Folio Grande. I have to say that for a pill storage container, these are really nice looking! In the image with all three products, they are the two in the back.

Here's a little about the Folio:
The FOLIO pill box is made for those on a twice daily a.m./p.m. regimen of vitamins, supplements, or pills. It is a cut above the standard 14-door pill box and is much easier to load, with one universal lid. It’s also much easier to extract pills from the FOLIO pill box. With other pill organizers, it’s nearly impossible to get your fingers into the pill box compartments and it’s necessary to turn the entire pill box upside-down to shake out its contents. The FOLIO pill box features rounded compartments that make extraction of pills quick and easy. The FOLIO pill box is also much sleeker than any of the twice-daily pill organizers out there. It fits elegantly and stylishly into purse or briefcase, and can be taken out anywhere.

When you open the Folio (like a book) the compartments are all organized with the days of the week and slots for morning and night. Each compartment is not really big, but enough for several medications or supplements. What I like is the elastic strap that helps hold it shut and that it is much easy to open thatn some kind of snapping container.

Here's a little about the Folio Grande:
The FOLIO grande pill box is our response to many customer requests for our weekly FOLIO pill box, only larger. This pill box is made for those on a heavier twice daily a.m./p.m. regimen of vitamins, supplements, or pills. Or for those who take large-sized vitamins or supplements. It is a cut above the standard 14-door pill box and is much easier to load, with one universal lid. It’s also much easier to extract pills from the FOLIO grande pill box. With other pill organizers, it’s nearly impossible to get your fingers into the pill box compartments and it’s necessary to turn the entire pill box upside-down to shake out its contents. The FOLIO grande pill box features rounded compartments that make extraction of pills quick and easy. The FOLIO grande pill box is also much sleeker than any of the twice-daily pill organizers out there. It fits elegantly and stylishly into purse or briefcase, and can be taken out anywhere.

You can see that there is a good deal of difference in the size of this Folio to the other. The compartments are much deeper and hold a lot more. I really like this since I take one prescription a day and 5 supplements, and several of the supplements are good sized. They all fit neatly into the compartments and it has the same great elastic strap to hold it closed.

Here's a comparison of the two. You can really see the difference in size and how much more the one can hold

I really think you would love Sabi's products! They have a hug variety and they all look amazing. Connect with Sabi here:
