Do You Have A Siphon Hose?

This may be something none of you would think I would tell you about, but I have mentioned in the past that I love to be prepared for all kinds of emergencies. Well this product is something that works just for that and more.

What is this product? The Super Easy Siphon Hose. You may be thinking why on earth would you need one, but believe me, you should have one.

A siphon hose is something that helps you take liquid from one place and put it in another. You may have seen people do it on TV or in movies by taking gas from cars to put in theirs. But a siphon hose can be used for a lot of things. They can be used for siphoning water, home brewing needs and other food uses around your house or in your place of business. You can use a siphon hose for working with gardening with hydroponics and working with your aquarium. It can also be used for a multitude of fuels such as gasoline, diesel, or fuel oil.

This siphon hose is a 6' FDA grade poly tubing that has a special brass fitting on one end and open tube on the other. It is made of really good quality materials and made to last for a long time! The hose will not react to fuel being put in it repeatedly and will hold up well. And it is super easy to use. No need to suck on one end to get the flow of the liquid to start.

Here's how you use it. You place the end with the brass fitting in the place you want to take the liquid out of. Then you place the other end in the container you want to transfer the liquid to. You need to make sure the container you are transferring the liquid to is lower than the one you are taking the liquid out of. Once the hose is in place you simply shake the end with the brass fitting 2-3 times to get the liquid to start flowing. Inside the brass is a small marble that helps cause a suction effect to pull the liquid up into the hose. Once the liquid is flowing it will continue until the one container is empty or you stop the flow by removing the hose. Easy and so much safer than doing it other ways!

You may think you do not need a siphon hose, but there are many, many reasons for having one and it is something you should keep in you vehicle emergency kit or if you are a prepper, in your bug out bag. I was impressed with this siphon hose and I know it will come in handy. One small warning though, once you use the hose for fuel do not use it for any kind of food application. I would suggest having two of these, one for water and one for fuel and clearly mark which one is which.

Being Prepared Can Really Taste Good

Life can be crazy. In fact we can never be sure what will happen and how serious it may be. We all know that. But there are things you can do to help you and your family be prepared for the what-ifs of life. We received a 2 serving sample of  Enchilada Beans and Rice and I can say that we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was!  I thought you might like to see the ingredient list and be as impressed as I was at the quality of the ingredients!

When you open the package it is easy to see how well it is prepared and easy to use. Everything is in it that you would need except the water! No measuring, and no other mixing except the water.

You do need to cook this on some kind of heat source. That's important to keep in mind when thinking about being prepared for an emergency. Some long shelf life products do not require cooking on the stove, just to add hot water. But this was not difficult to cook by any means. You just boil the water, mix in the contents of the pouch, and cook as directed (depends on the contents how long).

For this specific packet it took about 15 minutes for the beans to cook to be tender, which is really not that long for beans! You need to watch the pot carefully. It says to boil and then cook at a gentle boil for the allotted time. The food likes to stick a little if you don't get the boil just right. But it was not bad!

Both my husband and I were very impressed with the flavor and texture of the food. This far outweighs any kind of boxed dinner food you can get on the grocery shelves for everyday use! Although the servings are a bit small, when it comes to having enough food to survive on it would be perfect! We both enjoyed our meal and if all their food tastes this good (which from the reviews I have read by others it does) I would recommend them to you! Compared to the few other companies we have tried out, the price of Valley Food Storage ranks right up near the top!
