Need Something To Keep Your Head Comfy and Warm?

This winter has been brutal for us in Northern Indiana, and I know it has been tough in many other parts of the country too. It's been hard to keep warm every day, but we got something that has helped some!

This is the CacheAlaska Slouchy Beanie! We love this thing!!

The beanie is made from acrylic knit and is super soft next to your skin. Since it is acrylic, it is easy to care for, just toss it in the washer on cold and tumble dry. I love easy care products!

Since it is not wool, it also won't shrink. We've had wool beanies and caps before, and the first time they got really wet (not from washing), they shrank some. Ugh!! This one won't do that. It has great give and will fit any adult comfortably. I personally, like that it is large enough and has enough give to it that I can stuff all three feet of my hair up inside it. Not many hats like this can hold all my hair and keep it there.

This is one stylish hat too! As soon as my son saw it, he claimed it and has not given it back. He loves that you can fold up the bottom to make a brim, or to wear it slouchy for comfort and because it looks good that way.

Unlike CacheAlaska's Beanie Caps, this on does not have a fleece lining in it, which means that there is much more give in this hat than the others. It comes in two colors too, grey and black.

If you are looking for a good slocuhy beanie, this is the one to get!

Keeping Warm On These Weird Wintery Days

I'm not a hat person. I never have been, probably never will be. But there are times even this non-hat person needs to wear a hat. Seriously, it can get downright cold in northern IN with the wind off Lake Michigan!

So I was glad to try out the Beanie Knit Cap from CacheAlaska. My son has one, and I was pretty sure I would like one too after what he said about his.

The hat is 50% wool and 50% acrylic. The weave on the hat is nice and fine, making it so there are no open areas for the breeze to get through, but the hat is still very breathable. Your head stays warm without really sweating from the warmth of the wool.

Around the inside of the band is a very nice fleece lining. It's about 2¼" wide, so it is not throughout the whole hat. I like this band a lot. It keeps the hat in place and feels super soft on my skin. I think it would really help anyone who might have a wool sensitivity too. They would get the benefit of the warmth of the wool without having to deal with the itch next to their skin.

The hat has kept my head very warm on super cold days. I like that even though I don't like wearing hats. My only problem is that the hat is very big. When I pull it on snug the brim comes all the way down past my ears on both side (not a problem) and all the way down past my eyebrows, which for someone who wears glasses can be a problem. I can adjust it some to not do that as much, but then I am always left with a funny looking thing at the top of my head. There is enough room in this hat to put all three feet of my hair in it and it is still too big.

Other than sizing, this is a great hat! The one my son has fits him perfectly and me as well, so I think this hat must be a bit of a fluke! I still recommend it to you though!

Cold Ears This Winter? This Will Help!

Where we live in Indiana it gets cold, really cold. But worse than the cold is the wind. The small town we live in has 9 lakes and we are only a few short miles from Lake Michigan. You can imagine the wind that comes off the lakes added to the cold temperature, and it makes winter a tough time to go through.

That's why wearing a hat here is really important, so I was happy to try out the Beanie Knit Cap from CacheAlaska. This is a great hat and I may be using it all the time!

The hat is made of wool and it is a fine weave wool. This keeps the hat from being bulky and heavy. It stretches a lot, so it fits comfortably on your head and stays nice and snug and in place. I was surprised at how well it kept my head warm with the weave of the wool being so thin. I love that it is snuggly warm.

Another thing that is amazing about this hat is the fleece lining. It keeps my ears extra warm and I love how soft it feels against my skin. This is perfect for people who are sensitive to wool. The fleece keeps the wool off your skin, but you still get the wonderful warmth of the wool to protect you from the cold.

I also like the the hat can be folded or rolled small enough to stuff in a pocket. I always know where the hat is now. I don't have to go searching for it in the pile of other hats we have!

They offer the hat in many colors suitable for men and women, and the hat will work for kids as well. Instead of being a little snug on them, theirs will be a little bit of a slouchy hat and very fashionable yet warm!

A great hat that is machine washable (dry it flat though) and at a great price! Love it!
