Organic Handmade Wool Dryer Balls and A Flash Giveaway!

I love being able to save money. I love being able to save money and do something that is natural and organic even more. But I really love being able to save money and do something that is natural and organic plus help others in the process! It's something that helps a lot of people in the long run.

Brio Canada is a company that helps me and helps others at the same time! Their Lullaby Baby Wooly Naturals Organic Handmade Wool Dryer Balls are a product that helps me save money, is organic and natural and helps the women who make them!

In the remote areas of Nepal, in the Himalayan region of Tarai, there is a community of women who are underprivileged and are determined to make better lives for themselves and their children. Each of the dryer balls is made by hand by these sweet women and when you purchase them you benefit and they do even more! It helps them use the resources they have readily available and they earn an income helping to improve the quality of their lives and afford to send their children to school. It helps the whole community grow and prosper.

But what's the big deal about wool dryer balls? Simple, they help dry your clothes in a shorter amount of time and so much more!

Here are a few things they can do for you:
1. they are 100% handmade and organic
2. they shorten drying time and save you money and time
3. they reduce static cling and wrinkles in your clothes
4. they are hypo-allergenic, fragrance and chemical free
5. they are safe for people who have wool allergies or sensitivity
6. they soften the fabric as they help it to dry

Here's how they work. They absorb the moisture from the clothes as they tumble around in the dryer. Each of the 6 balls that come in the set are used at the same time and they each will absorb up to 30% of their weight in water. As the clothes dry, the dryer balls will fluff up and they evenly distribute humidity in the dryer, which is what helps reduce the wrinkles, static cling and helps things be softer, especially towels, and drys the clothes faster!

After using them for a while you may see there is some pilling on them, and that's okay. It does not harm the balls or lessen their effectiveness. Just gently pull off the pills and keep right on using them!

I like to add a few drops of essential oil to mine. I put two to three drops on each ball, let them sit for a few minutes to let the oil absorb completely, and then toss them in with my clothes. Things smell amazing and so much better than the chemical fragrances you get in dryer sheets!

But every time I use them, I think about the women they helped! it's a good feeling to know that something so small can make such a fantastic difference in the people of their community! Plus when you purchase the dryer balls you get a fantastic and nifty little bonus. It's a little wool sheep purse! He has a zipper on the top of his back and is a fun little guy to have!

Oh and fair warning....dogs love to play with wool dryer balls as much as they do tennis balls. Just saying!!
