I want to share with all of you a very special You Tube video. It's special because of someone who is in it. The star of the short film is my youngest son, Aaron. He is just starting out in his career goal of acting. He's done quite a few plays, but this is his first film. To say the least, this is one excited mom getting to see her little boy do what he loves, although there are a few scenes that are a little weird for me as a mom. LOL!
The film was written and directed by a fellow student, David Naffie, at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. It is one of his final projects before leaving the university. He and Aaron have worked together on several things.
Aaron was shooting the film when he was very sick with bronchitis. In fact, he had torn his vocal cords from coughing so hard and was only talking when he had to say his lines. By the time the film was done he could hardly talk and had trouble for several weeks. He's been offered a few more roles and projects to work on in the near future. But here is his first film as an actor. It's short, so sit back, have a look, and I hope you enjoy it.
Awww, I love it. Great job, Aaron!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'll pass it along to him.

I'm glad you all have liked it. And yes it was hard to film while sick, but as on of my favorite characters once said, "The Dude abides."

DeleteThat is awesome ... I had no idea he was sick; totally played it off! What a beautiful story as well; one I think a lot of couples could use.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just read your sons comment "The Dude Abides" ... nice ... nice ... lol
He's very much like his dad! They have similar ways of expressing humor.
DeleteI listened the whole film for a hint that he was sick and I did not even notice. What a great short film. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it. He enjoyed making it!
DeleteOh wow – I can only imagine what torn vocal cords feel like. Ouch. You can definitely tell the difference from the first scene to the second. Ooo – the wife gets so cold, so quickly. Great acting, and very cool to be in a movie. I had absolutely no clue that the ending that happened would. So sad, and I feel even more for Sam now.
ReplyDeleteI almost gave the ending away one time several months ago. I was so excited about it, I almost blew it for him and the whole crew. Ugh!
DeleteOh my goodness! How awesome!! Congrats to him. How fun! I'd say for someone with bronchitis, he did a pretty darn good job! I love this. I wish him great success!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I watched it all I could see was how sick he was. I had to watch it again so I could just really see the movie. he did do really well! We're hoping he does well too!
