My Husband Loves These New Oven Gloves

My husband is such a terrific guy. He loves to help cook and will try out unique and crazy recipes all the time. One very important thing to him are oven gloves! he's pretty particular about them, so when I got a set of Nomex Oven Gloves from Heat Blocker Pro, he was happy to test them out for me.

Here's what he thinks about them!

These glove are more than adequate for ordinary oven use, but are designed for tasks like grilling as well. The manufacturer even boasts that you can “safely put extra logs on your campfires” – they are for use with heat up to 662 degrees, far above the 425 degree limit for many cloth oven mitts and silicone oven mitts.

The outer layer of the gloves is made of Dupont Nomex fibers, with silicone dots that make gripping reliable. The inner layer is cotton, which makes the gloves very comfortable. They don't have the clumsy, constricting feel of bulky silicone gloves.

The user is strictly warned never to use the gloves if they become wet, since the water will conduct heat quickly to the hands.

I recommend these glove for both grilling and ordinary kitchen use. They are superior to silicone gloves and oven mitts because of comfort and high heat resistance without loss of dexterity.
