A Small, Effective Grooming Brush For Your Pets

Part of taking care of your pets is making sure they are healthy inside and outside. Bathing and grooming them is a very important part of their health and happiness for them and you.

CLD Brands makes a Grooming Brush to help you keep your dog's or cat's coat looking healthy and attractive.

We have our two dogs, as I have mentioned before, Bender and Scruffy. Bender being a water dog, has a double coat and his hair is thick and difficult to maintain sometimes. Scruffy has a coarse coat of hair and, well he can look pretty scruffy if we don't keep an eye on him. We also have a cat named, Elliot who is a Maine Coon. She is large and has a beautiful long coat of hair that is also thick. You can see with these three we do a lot of grooming.

Here is a little from the company:
• High quality, deluxe dog brush
• Made of durable wood and metal
• Brush is 7" x 4" at its widest
• Handle is contoured in the middle for a better grip
• Metal bristles are 7/8"

The Grooming Brush from CLD Brands is a good basic brush. It works really, really well for our cat. She loves being groomed with it. In fact if she sees the grooming brush she will meow over and over until one of us brushes her for a while. She's even seen it lying on the couch or a chair and will start rubbing on the bristles. I'm pretty sure she loves it!

Scruffy does fairly well with the Grooming Brush, although he is nowhere near as fond of it as our cat. He has been known to run the other direction when we get it out. His coat, although coarse, is not super thick and the brush helps manage the small mats and tangles that he often gets. It has helped us keep his coat looking healthier and managed, but no matter how hard we try, he will always be a little scruffy.

But for Bender the brush does not work well. Having the double coat and it being very thick, the brush has trouble going through the hair well and several times we lost bristles brushing him. They just fell out. So using the grooming brush on him does not work well.

I think the Grooming Brush is a something that will work for any pet who does not have a thick, heavy coat of hair. It will help keep their hair in line and the rounded tips on the bristles protect their skin from any scraping and damage a pointed end bristle can do.
