Heartfelt Gifts For Your Special Mom From Hallmark and A Giveaway

I'm having a hard time realizing how fast this year has been going for me. It's May already and soon to be Mother's Day. That being said, this is going to be a tough Mother's Day for me this year. It will be the first one for me without my Mom. She passed away last October 23rd, so celebrating this year is a bitter sweet thing for me as a mom.

But it does not stop me from celebrating some of the other women in my life who are moms and who I love dearly for the impact they have had in my life. So many sweet women have been special and have provided me guidance, advice, examples and an abundance of love, and I want to thank them in special ways for it.

That's why I love these products from Hallmark. They are a part of the heartfelt Ken Sheldon Collection. Each of these products reminds me of how special these women have been to me and will continue to be. Each piece features a beautiful and touching sketch done by Ken between a mom and her child. The tender moments are so sweet and evoke memories for me of my Mom and being a mom.

Honestly it is hard for me to pick which of the items I love the most. Each one reminds me of several women. The mug is so sweet with the image of a mom gazing into the eyes of her sweet baby. It says, "All the love a heart can hold".  I remember moments like that looking at my new borns and being amazed at how much I loved them.

"Some things we hold on to forever" is a statement I can completely agree with. This is stitched on the small throw pillow with a mom hugging her child. As a mom of two grown boys I know I will hold on to a part of them forever. They will always be my babies, much to their chagrin.

But the one thing I lean to a little more than the others is the print of a mom cuddling her child in rest. Ken wrote on this one "And the love only grows".  That statement could not be more true. With each passing year I have loved my kids more and more.

Soft, Comfortable and A Luxurious Lambswool Pillow

There is nothing like crawling on to the couch and curling up with a throw pillow and taking a short nap. It's something I have enjoyed being able to do for years and don't get to do it very often! But I really like it when the throw pillow is super comfy and soft!

I have to say that WaySoft has one of the best pillow covers I have ever had and I love it! They have the Genuine Single-Sided Australian Sheepskin Lambswool Pillow Cover that is perfect for so many styles of decorating and living.

The first thing you need to know is that the pillow truly is sheepskin on the inside and lambswool on the outside on one side. The back of the pillow is made of a soft yet sturdy canvas material. It measures approximately 16" x 16", which is a standard size for most throw pillows. There is a zipper in about the center of the pillow back to insert either stuffing or a pillow insert. The cover is very, very well made. The stitching on the inside of the sheepskin is quality and the way the whole cover is put together shows the care they put into it. You can really see that with where the zipper is.

The cover is super easy to put on a pillow insert. It may feel a little stiff when you try, but I just folded the insert in half and put it in the cover and mushed it out into place. The cover fit perfectly and it looks great. I love the feel of the cover and with an insert in it the pillow is very comfortable to lean on, looks really nice on the couch or in a chair and adds a nice texture to the room.

You can use just stuffing in the pillow, but I would not recommend that. It does not tend to keeps it's shape as well and it is a little harder to mess with than an insert.

We are enjoying our pillow cover and think it would make a great addition to anyone's home!
