Pork Loin Rub Recipe And Easy Made Kitchen

How many sizes of roasting pans do you have? Most of you are going to say one, maybe two. But did you know you actually have more and just don't realize it! Lots of pans, dishes and even slow cookers can be used to roast in. The problem is not having a roasting rack that will work or fit in them!

Easy Made Kitchen Silicone Roasting Racks are exactly what you need to help you utilize more of the pans and dishes you have in your home to roast many kinds of foods on. You can use one in a small pan or both for a large. I love these roasting racks! They are the most versatile I have ever had.

Being made of silicone, they are heat resistant up to 500° F and can also be used as trivet on your table or counter as well as going into the oven or microwave. Oh and don't forget the slow cooker too! They are flexible and can be snugly fit into a pan without damaging the pan or the rack.

What I really love about them is that they don't have a coating on them that can start to wear off and stick to your food! I have had several racks that have done that as they were used a lot and just started wearing out. The silicone won't do that! They are super easy to clean as well. I was really surprised at how easy they cleaned up. In the picture below you can see how the juice and rub made a mess on the rack and pan. It almost wiped off the racks! Just a little soak in hot soapy water and they were clean. Much easier than the pan! LOL!! You can wash them in the dishwasher as well as by hand.

These racks are the perfect size and work really well to help roast a large variety of foods. You can even cook your bacon on them! Everything cooks faster when it is raised up and the food is not sitting in the grease and fat, making meals much healthier for you! The pork loin in the picture above weighed in at 8 pounds. The silicone rack did not give or sag under even that much weight. I'm looking forward to using them for our Thanksgiving turkey!

I thought you might like to have my Pork Loin Rub recipe as a bonus today! It's what is coating the roast in the pictures!

Pork Loin Rub

Ingredients:
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp coarsely ground black pepper
2 tbsp kosher salt, or 1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp ground ginger
4 1/2 tsp garlic powder
4 1/2 tsp onion salt, or 2 1/4 onion powder
1 tbsp dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp crushed dried thyme

Directions:
Stir together brown sugar, sugar, black pepper, salt, ginger, garlic powder, onion salt, dry mustard, crushed red pepper, cayenne, cumin, paprika and thyme in small bowl. Store the remaining brown sugar mixture in airtight container at room temperature up to 3 months; use on pork roasts or chops before roasting or grilling. Recipe makes about 3 1/2 cups dry rub.

To use on pork loin roast:
Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Sprinkle 1/2 - 3/4 cup of the brown sugar mixture evenly on all sides of the pork roast (depending on the size of the roast); use your fingers to rub into pork. Place roast on rack in shallow roasting pan and let rest for about 45 minutes before roasting. Roast, uncovered, 20 minutes per pound until internal temperature on a thermometer reads 145 degrees F. Remove roast from oven; let rest about 10 minutes before slicing. This is also good on chops. Just coat each side of the chop and grill or slow roast in the oven.

The Easy Made Kitchen Silicone Roasting Racks really are a wonderful addition to my kitchen and can be used for so many different things.
