Keeping Your Dog's Teeth Clean Is More Important Than You Think

For a long time, to be completely honest, I really didn't think a lot about my dog's teeth. But as I have learned recently, it's pretty important to think about them!

Toothfilm sent us their T-PET Dental Care Gel For Dogs. This is the neatest stuff. It's super easy to use and is approved by Vets. It is a dog toothpaste you rub on their teeth daily and they like the taste of, is safe for them and reduces plaque, tartar and helps keep their breath fresh.

Now I do need to say right away, when we got this product to test it was intended to be used on our Newfoundland. Unfortunately, he passed away part way through testing the product. He did not pass away from using the product. He had a heart condition. So we started using the product on our little Chorkie instead.

The toothpaste comes in a pump bottle. The directions are really clear and the pump is easy to use. Included in the package is this nifty finger glove that has small bumps on one side and tiny soft bristles on the other. The finger glove is made of silicone, so it won't hurt your dog in any way.

You pump out the toothpaste on to the finger glove and massage it on their teeth, gums and inside cheeks. It may take a few days for your dog to get used to the whole process, but after a while, they actually start to enjoy it. Since we started so late trying this on our Chorkie, we have not seen huge improvements on his teeth yet, but we have noticed a big difference in his breath. Hate to say, but that little dog had the worst dog breath I have ever smelled. Since we have been brushing his teeth, it has vastly improved!

I wish I could tell you more, but I do know it is making small differences in his teeth too, enough so that we plan on using it from now on. The whole family recommends it to you!
