JACO Superior Deluxe Tire Pressure Gauge & My Husband's Thoughts

A while back, I received a tire gauge from..... to review. So I asked my husband to give me his thoughts on it since he would be the one using it more than me.

Here's what he had to say:

I don't see the need for “bells and whistles” when all I'm doing is checking the air pressure in a car tire. This pressure gauge did nothing to change my mind. The gauge measures air pressure up to 100 PSI and has a metric equivalent scale.

The gauge is protected from damage by a rubber ring and seems sturdy. The pressure reading remains on the gauge after it is removed from the tire stem, until the pressure relief button is pushed.

The packaging touts the benefit of avoiding the hassles of electronic gauges, which I appreciated, but I really don't see any advantage of this gauge when compared the the old “stick” or “pencil” style air pressure gauge, which costs much less. They may not last as long, but I'd rather buy a half dozen of those instead of one of these.

Minor complaint: The text on the package for this product, which comes from China, has two minor grammatical errors and one misspelling [it actually warns about the “hassel” of other products].

The product offers the following:
* 360-Degree Swivel Chuck
* Dual-Layer Protective Cover
* Pressure Reset Button
* Air Bleeder Valve
* Compact 1.5" Dial
* Calibrated to ANSI B40.1 Grade B International Accuracy Standards

So his final evaluation is, it works, but he does not really see the need for it. Our son on the other hand was very glad to use it! He likes it just fine!!
