Finding Rest and Relaxation In One Small Thing

Resting and relaxing.....sometimes those two things are so very hard to get. Days can get crazy. Projects can pile up. Errand after errand have to be run. Housework has to be done. And of course the kids always need something. Your mind seems to never want to shut down.

So how can you relax, even if only for just a few minutes when your mind is racing and life is crazy.

For me it comes with one simple word, Lavender! I know that sounds too simple and a little hokey, but lavender has been helping people calm down and relax for centuries. It has helped with insomnia, migraines, headaches, anxiety, depression, and stress. I have even trusted it to help calm colic in my babies! It is a tried and true method for millions of people, daily!

One very simple thing you can do is to use a small eye pillow from Eye Pillow Vacation. It's only 9" x 4 ½|", the perfect size to fit over your eyes, upper cheeks, and forehead. It's filled with a combination of flax seed and lavender. Now I know I said you only need one thing, but the flax seed is there for a reason, weight.

You see if you used only lavender the pillow would not apply very much pressure over your eyes and forehead. You need that pressure to help reduce the stress and let the lavender work. It's like very light accupressure right where you need it the most. For me, this is one of the best ways to combat everything from stress to severe headaches, and I have had some super bad ones over the years.

The Eye Pillow can be used as it comes to you with the pressure from the flax seed, fragrance of the lavender, and blocking out the light in the room, but it can also be used warmed or cold too. Warming the pillow by spritzing a small amount of water on each side of it and then heating for no more that 30 seconds in the microwave releases the lavender fragrance faster and the warmth from the pillow clams and relaxes you quickly. It's very soothing.

Cooling down the pillow in the freezer is a fantastic way of getting that lovely lavender fragrance  but also helping to reduce swelling around your eyes and cheeks. You muscles relax and calm down which in turn relaxes your mind.

The eye pillow is very well made from a soft satin and will last for quite a while. It's also hand crafted here in the USA and comes in 6 beautiful colors, so you can find one that will suit you. I have been enjoying mine now for a while and am thinking about getting a second one to have an extra on hand.
