Easy Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Baking is something I love to do. To me is is calming and comforting. I love to make the house smell amazing with freshly baked breads, cakes, pies, and more. My guys like it a lot too! When I find new recipes I usually will try them out just as they are written, although I have changed a few things here and there. But I will admit, that the second and third times I make something (that is if it passes the initial taste test by the gang) I will make changes to suit my families tastes, that is sometimes. Every now and then you find a recipe that you just know should not be messed with. This is one of those recipes! And it is so easy to make!

Okay I fibbed slightly....I changed the name of the bread, that's it!

Here's what you need to do to make this fantastic recipe.

Easy Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Ingredients
1 package Yellow Cake Mix
¾ cup oil
¾ cup water
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ cup sugar
2 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

Pour cake mix into a large mixing bowl. Remove 3 Tbsp from the mix and discard.
Add oil, water, eggs, and vanilla.

Beat until completely smooth.

Grease each loaf pan and fill halfway with batter.

In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.

Sprinkle ⅓ cup of the cinnamon sugar mixture on to the half filled loaf pans.
Add remaining batter to each loaf pan. Be mindful that the mix will rise.

Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top of each loaf. Using a butter knife, gently move the batter around creating cinnamon swirls.
Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes.

Cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Remove and serve warm with a good cup of coffee.

Thanks Duncan Hines for the original recipe!!

    1. I've thought of trying that but the bread is very soft, more cakey than bready, so I am not sure how well it would do. If it works I am sure it would be good!

    1. If you add apples do not discard the 3 tbsp of cake mix. You'll need it to absorb the extra moisture from the apples. I would also cut the pieces really small too. But I bet it would be good!

    1. It's not as dense as it looks since it is more cakey than bready. But it is so good!
