There is something about using essential oils that really makes your home feel wonderful! I have used them for years and have seen them help us and our guests be more comfortable in our home.
InstaNatural sent me two Essential Oils to try out, Lemon and Peppermint.
InstaNatural’s Lemon Essential Oil is extracted directly from lemon rinds for a fresh citrus fragrance. The oil is cold-pressed and has a powerful bright scent that is sure to refresh and uplift. The first time you open the bottle of lemon, do not be surprised if it seems a bit overwhelming. It is much more fragrance than opening a bottle of lemon juice or cutting into a fresh lemon. So be careful not to inhale too deeply right away!
The Lemon Oil works well as an astringent to cleanse and tone your skin while delivering a boost of beneficial Vitamin C. You should dilute it well with a carrier oil or water before using it on you skin though. I like using coconut oil to dilute it with.
It's great as a cleaner to remove gum, oil, grease spots and crayons on most surfaces, although you should test an inconspicuous spot first! The oil can be used to remove that dusty smell from vacuum cleaners too. Just drop a few drops on the vacuum bag or on the filters of the vacuum.
InstaNatural’s Peppermint Essential Oil is directly extracted from the leaves of the Mentha Piperita herb for a sharp and sweet minty fragrance. Again, be careful the first time you open it. It is strong and concentrated and could be a little overwhelming.
The Peppermint Oil is a multi-purpose oil that cools, energizes and refreshes the body and mind. Its scent makes it perfect for aromatherapy to lift the spirits. I love having some of the oil in a small diffuser I have to brighten my mood during the day. It's great in the morning to really get you going.
The peppermint oil will also help soothe nausea and motion sickness. Place a couple of diluted drops onto your wrists to gently inhale and help clear the nausea, motion sickness and nasal congestion. I also use a drop or two behind my ears to help with coughs. If you ever have a nagging or lingering cough, you know, the kind that hang around after you have been sick even though you aren't sick anymore. Just a few drops behind both ears with relieve that. I really don't know why it works, but it does and I rely on that a lot.
Just remember that with most essential oils, you need to dilute them before using directly on your skin. Check the packaging to know if the oil can be used internally or not. These two oils from InstaNatural are not intended for internal use.
I love using these oils and was thrilled to try them out. Over the last few weeks our whole family has been sick with one bug or another and these have been very helpful. They both are wonderful diluted with a carrier oil for massages and moisturizing the skin.
You can purchase your own InstaNatural Lemon Oil or Peppermint Oil HERE!
They also carry a lovely Lavender Oil too that would be a great addition to these two!
