Clean drinking water is something we all think about a lot more than we used to. It's so easy for contaminants to get into our water, and if you are like me, you want to keep your family healthy in every way possible.
Blupure has a simple and effective ecofriendly 13 stage countertop water filter that helps keep your family's drinking water much safer that straight from the faucet. The filter cleans out the following contaminants:
chlorine
lead
mercury
fluoride
chloramine
bateria
sulfide
radiation
And that's just the start of all the chemicals it removes. It removes over 50 different chemicals from your water! When you stop and look at just that list of things, you realize how messed up our water is even in municipalities!
The filter is pre-installed so you don't have to mess with doing that the first time. It took my husband less than 5 minutes to read the instructions and attach the filter to our kitchen sink. It's super easy and if you need to you can unattach it and the reattach later or even moved to a different sink. The filter does not take up a lot of counter space and has a generous hose length to it (I personally wish it was a little shorter), so you can place it far from the faucet.
The water is odor free and really has no taste. It's just water, which is something I think most of us are not used to! Operating the filter is easy. Just push the little knob in and turn on the water. Instead of going through the faucet it goes through the filter. When done, just pull the knob back out. The water will continue running through the filter until all that was in the hose and going through the filter has come out, so plan ahead to know when or approximately when to stop it, not wasting any!
The little "faucet" coming out of the filter unit can be moved off to the side so it is not hanging over you sink all the time, making room to do what you need to in your sink.
One really nice thing is that filter inside the unit is good for 1500 gallons of water or about one year! That's great!
I think the only thing that we have not liked about the Blupure Water Filter is that the flow of water coming out of the faucet does not have as much pressure as it did before. The stream is a little slower. But we are adjusting to that.
There are a few things you need to be aware of using the filter.
~ Never run hot water through it
~ Keep the countertop clean and dry to avoid attracting bacteria or germs
~ Ensure the housing of the unit is always clean to provide maximum protection
~ If not using the filter for several days (Like while on vacation) let the water run through the filter for a few minutes as the sitting water in it could absorb the bitter flavor of the Zinc Oxide used to filter the water.
We are really enjoying the filter and love knowing that we have fresh, clean tasting water to drink all the time! Oh and with this filtered water, you can make the best coffee and tea! WOW!
