AchyPaws Self-Warming Pet Mat Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

If you have been reading my blog for a while now you know I have 2 dogs. One in particular is my big baby. His name is Bender and he is a Newfoundland Golden Retriever mix, although he looks more like a Newfie. I'll admit I spoil him, so when I got the chance to review something for him I was thrilled.

Achy Paws™ sent me a Self-Warming Pet Mat to review with my dogs. Well, my dogs, especially my Newfie, love it. Even our cat has taken a turn or two on it, although she generally gets chased off by one of the boys (Bender & Scruffy).

Here's some information about the Pet Mat!
"Natural Relief for Dogs and Cats"
Pets are naturally attracted to the Achy Paws™ Pet Mat for its unique self-warming fabric. It's triple-layered thick with an inner layer of 100% Activated Bamboo Charcoal that activates with their body heat to bring restorative warmth to achy joints. Natural warmth also helps soothe tired muscles, reduce soreness, and melt away discomfort. Great for any season as bamboo charcoal can also fluctuate according to your pets temperature to provide cooling relief. Give the gift of wellness today and we know your pets will love you for it!

  • Perfect for Dogs & Cats
  • Self-Warming for All Day Relief
  • Made from Bamboo Charcoal Technology
  • Soothes Achy Joints due to Aging
  • Reduces Stress & Anxiety
  • Increases Relaxation
  • Calms Restlessness

  • Soft & Durable, Triple-Layered Fabric

When we first placed the mat down I called my dogs over to take a look and they both smelled it, checked it out and promptly walked away. Bummer! But I didn't give up. I called them back and told my Newfie to lay down and that was all it took. When he laid down the Chorkie laid down next to him and they both stayed for quite a while. Since then they are on and off all day. Bender even takes his toys to it to lay there and chew on them for a while.

The mat is incredible soft. I love the feel of it on my feet, so I am sure it is comfortable for the dogs and the cat. One sad thin about having a Newfie is that they have a lot of oil in their fur (part of being a water dog) and that oil can get kind of stinky. Since we have had the mat down, he has not been getting as stinky and that is an extremely good thing. Have you ever tried to bathe a 125 pound dog? Knowing the mat will help keep the odors and dander down is wonderful!

It washes up like a dream too. I just followed the directions that came in the package and it looks as good as it did when we first opened it. Plus it did not do anything to the Bamboo Charcoal inside. It is still working well and doing what it is supposed to.

As the weather has gotten much warmer I was concerned that they would not use the mat much, but I was wrong. The charcoal inside works with the body temperature of your pet. So it cools them when they are warm. That's really important to me. Newfies get hot easily and they can be very uncomfortable with it! So keeping him cool is a huge benefit to me and him.

The Mat comes in several sizes to fit all of your pets:

  • Small: 20"x20"
  • Medium: 30"x20"
  • Large: 40"x30"
  • X-Large: 50"x30"
  • XX-Large: 60"x40"

  5. I have 2 dogs. I have a Corgi named Louie and a Laboradoodle named Dutch. Dutch weighs 90 lbs. and Louie only weights 25 ibs. but Louie is definitely in charge. I think he thinks Dutch is a sheep and he herds him all over the house. It's a hout!
