Having the Microban is something I really never thought about until now. It makes sense. What other room in your house has as many icky germs floating around in it like the bathroom! It also is really slip resistant! it does not budge when getting on or off and your feet stay firmly planted while on it. For me having the large blue-backlit screen is wonderful. I have some trouble seeing small things and I can clearly see the numbers, too clearly. LOL!! The scale is also wide enough you don't feel like you are doing a balancing act to stand on it. You stand on the scale and the light comes on. The numbers fluctuate for a bit back and forth while the scale calculates your correct weight. Then it flashes at you when it is done.
