The Minister's Wife : Purex Fels-Naptha Is My Secret Weapon Against Stains!! Plus A Giveaway!!!

There are a few products I have used over the years that are somewhat nostalgic for me. One of those products I recently received from the Purex company being a part of the Purex Insiders ~ Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar.

Here's what I know about it, IT WORKS! Seriously, it really does work and I know this from years of using it myself. I love knowing that it is something my Great Grandmothers, Grandmothers, and Mom used for years! I watched them shave off pieces with a paring knife to put in their ringer washers (yes we had one when I was little) to help boost the laundry soap they used. Growing up on a farm you can imagine the stains they had to deal with. Our clothes were always clean and stain free and my Mom said it was because of Fels-Naptha. When my boys were little I used it a lot more than now since they were almost always getting grass stains, mud stains and other somewhat less explainable stains on their clothes. I knew their clothes would come clean. Today I still use it to remove bad sweat stains on undershirts and collars. It just plain works!

But I don't just use it on laundry. I even use it on carpet, upholstery and more. If there is a really tough stain I know it will work and is safe! No fear of using a product that might discolor or fade whatever I am using it on.

Recently my dog Bender helped slosh some Crystal Light on our living room carpet. I was not happy, but I knew what would take it out.

You can see the read spots here on the carpet. There are over half a dozen of them, even though they don't all show up here. When you were standing in the room it looked like that part of the carpet had red speckles.

After dampening the carpet a little and rubbing the Fels-Naptha directly on the stains I let it sit for a few minutes then I scrubbed with a small brush. It didn't take much scrubbing though. I rinsed the carpet several times with some fresh, clean water and let it dry. Then I vacuumed and you see the results here, a clean and spot-free carpet. No more red speckles for me!!

I can't promise it will give you the same results, but I can say that the Fels-Napthat will give your stains a run for their money! Some spots may need several treatments, but I personally have never had a tough stain win over the Fels-Naptha!

But stain removal is not the only thing Fels-Naptha can do. I remember my Mom treating us after getting into poison ivy with it. She would make us take a bath using just that soap from head to toe. usually we would not get too much of a rash, but if there was any we would take a bath again each day till it was gone. it seldom lasted for more than a few days.
