One of my favorite things to do is home improvement. Unfortunately with my budget I don't get to do it near as often as I would like. But I do love seeing what is available for improving my home and making life a little more comfortable. In fact sometimes I run into things that I can afford and I get excited.
One site I have enjoyed looking through is Juno Lighting. A pet peeve of mine in almost every home I have lived in there has never been enough light or the lights there, are all in the wrong places. You can imagine then how much fun it is to dream on a lighting site about how I would improve my home!
My first choice for some additional lighting would be some in my kitchen. Nothing is worse than not being able to see well when preparing a meal. I would love to have some of the 14" 4-Lamp Pro-Series LED Undercabinet Fixtures. They may not be something amazing to look at, but they make life in the kitchen a whole lot nicer!! Being LED means not having to change the bulbs as often too.
Another place I am desperate for more lighting is in my living room. I have two dogs, one very small (under 9 pounds) and one very large (almost 100 pounds). One of their favorite things to do is chase each other and wrestle. Well in the process they have broken one floor lamp and one table lamp! So I am down to one floor lamp and one table lamp and a dark living room with no ceiling fixture! UGH!! I found just what I would love, the High Country Table Lamp! It is gorgeous!
But I even found a floor lamp I loved more! It is exactly what my home is calling out for! The Aldrich Floor Lamp would be so perfect in my living room. Of course I would need two of them! LOL!!
I have a lot of wrought iron a in my house since most of my decor leans towards primitive or colonial. The Aldrich is exactly what I need. Hmmm, I wonder if I can talk my husband into a pair for Christmas?
Of course I could not neglect thinking about the outside of my home as well. Nothing says welcome more than an inviting light on your porch or front stoop! Living in a parsonage that is especially a vital thing!! I would love to have the Revere Outdoor Wall Three Light! Both of our entrances would look so nice with those flanking the doors!
I had so much fun perusing the site. So many beautiful things to look through from classic to modern and contemporary. There is something for everyone on the site! My boys love things a little more modern than I do and I found several things I know they would love to have! I was even shocked to find that they had some really neat home accessories too, something I certainly did not expect from a lighting site! My personal favorite was the Otto Dental Floss Dispenser! He has matching buddies for your toothpaste and toothbrush!
I may just have to pick up one of him. I love quirky little things like this!! He comes in 4 colors so now to choose which one. But then there is MrSuicide the bathtub plug with float. No more searching around under the bubbles to find the plug!! What to do? What to do?
If you have a chance I would recommend looking over the site Juno Lighting yourself. The products are wonderful. I think the prices are pretty good too. Good lighting is not cheap, but then it is going to last for a long time and you get what you pay for! Neat thing is there is free shipping on all orders over $50! Love that! Even when your order is under $50 in the continental US there is a flat rate of $7.95! Wow! How many companies do that?! They have an email sign up for their specials too so you can find out about new products and discounts.
They do have several showrooms in California (lucky you!!) and that is something I always love doing. Going to a showroom like that always gets my creative decorating juices flowing! But looking through the web site was enough for me. My husband is not going to be happy with me for a while. I feel some furniture rearranging coming on!!
