Recently SheSpeaks sent me a new to this country (US) moisturizer called Simple. It's from the UK and is a very popular product there. Now I will admit that I tend to think that a really good moisturizer that is going to really help my dry skin has to be thick and creamy. I'm guessing it is just from past experience with products. Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer is by far not thick. It is light, and goes a long way. I was surprised at how well it absorbs into my skin and leaves it feeling smooth and not heavy or sticky like some moisturizers can. It also has very little 'smell' to it and I love that! I really dislike how many moisturizers have heavy fragrances to them. Yuk!
Simple brand is that they specialize in products for sensitive skin. That's important to me. I do react to some things, but not most. Knowing I didn't have to worry about how my skin would respond to the product was wonderful! Simple has no dyes, artificial perfumes or harsh irritants that can upset your skin. It's also available at Walgreens. Love that! So I know if I want to get more it will be available locally and at a good price! That's very important to me.
As far as how well it worked, well not too bad. I wouldn't say it is the answer I need for my dry patches, but I do like having a light moisturizer to use. I think during the summer it will really be nice to have under my makeup. I hate a heavy feeling of anything on my face when it is hot out! But I do think that this is not the moisturizer I will be using all the time. I need something with a little more umph to it, something I know will conquer those dry patches. I did find out that they do have a Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, so I will be looking to try that.
