Keep On Trusting!!

When I decided to work on the SCS sketch Challenge late last night I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use! I have had a week (and it is only Wednesday) that put my faith and trust to the test.
It started on Sunday when I wasn't feeling very good. I knew I just had to stay healthy and decided to stay home all day and not get exposed to any more germs. I have been sick enough for one year already.

Then Monday hit. We received a phone call from our oldest son. He lost his job. It was very sudden and totally unexpected and undeserved. We spent time talking to him and praying, knowing there was a reason. Here is where some of that trusting was put to test.

Then Monday evening hit! Our youngest son called shortly after my husband left for his part-time job. He was in a car accident. His car was totaled. He was hurt and needed me. So I dashed out the door praying the whole way to him. His physical injuries were not as bad as this mom's imagination could come up with, but he was pretty shook up. A lot of little bruises, abrasions and sore spots, one strained wrist. I would say he got away pretty safely! The car, well not so much! It is gone for good. Add some more trusting to the week!

Now for Tuesday!! Oooh it just keeps going. My husband and I had a meeting an hour from our house. Off we went very early in the AM to get there only to find out the meeting had been postponed till later in May. So an hour drive home knowing we had to make the same trip again in 3 weeks. Frustrating. We were trying to understand why. Still don't know why, but more trusting!

When we got home I had to go with our youngest son to pick up the accident report so we could get it turned in to the insurance company. The policeman assured us it would be ready the day after the accident. So a 40 minute drive to pick it up only to find out it wasn't ready. Hmmm, Lord what are You up to??? So home we went and kept on trusting.
Aaron decided he wanted to try and go to work that night. So my husband took him in and I went to pick him up. While I was waiting for him the van died!! I tired and tried to start it back up. Nothing!! Just one little clicky sound and it was dead. I was never more thankful for my son's cell phone in my life!! Normally he drives me a little crazy with the thing. A very dear friend came and rescued us from the cold and being abandoned in a dark parking lot. Yep, more trusting. I'm not going to cave now!!

So by last night I needed a good long soak in the tub! I never ended up getting it physically, but got one by making my card. I used Hambo's stamp of a calm and serene lady taking a good long soak. Doesn't she look comfy!?
She's stamped with Stazon Jet Black and then water colored with my pencils. I added a little doodling at the bottom so it looked like she wasn't floating in the air.
The dp in the background was some I got free in a package of chipboard. Isn't it pretty? I thought it looked like old-fashioned wallpaper.
I popped her image up on pop dots and added those cute flower brads from Spare Parts. It doesn't show too well in the photo, but I also added some Accent Glaze on the bubbles to make them look a little shiny. Added some dimension too.
I may try and get that long soak tonight. Every time I look at her I long for it. Will have to see. But we did get some very good news. Our oldest son found out that he is now a Certified Pharmaceutical Technician because of his old job he just lost. So he can get a job at any pharmacy in the state now and get much higher pay because of his training. He found out it was equivalent to a two year college degree. How awesome is that?! And then I found out that I sold a lot of things on e-bay higher than I thought I would. I guess it pays off to keep on trusting!! Oh and this morning, my husband went out to look at the van. It started right up. LOL!!
Have a great rest of the week! I plan to. I plan to keep on trusting too!! Thanks for stopping by and visiting.
