A Couple Of Good Challenges For me!

I am so glad to be able to get here today. All day yesterday I had the worst migraine. So very glad that seems to be over. Unfortunately I get them more often that anyone would like to. But I have learned to live with them somewhat. You have to or you would just shut down.

Had some time this evening to work on a few cards. It felt good to focus on something else instead of my head!

The first one is from the SCS Sketch Challenge this week. I thought it was a very good challenge and wanted to do another card for it. i love this image of the mouse on the thistle. It has been one of my favorites for many years. Took me forever to find it and when I did I grabbed it up quickly!

I stamped the image with Stazon and then water colored. Did a little accent with colored pencils too.

In the background I did some paper piercing in the corners. And I only used 4 brads from Spare Parts on the card. Both dp's are from Paper Loft.

I really like how it turned out. I'm not sure yet who or what it is for, but it won't take me too long to figure that out at all.

My second card is for the SCS Limited Supplies Challenge. We were limited to 1 wheel, 1 image, 1 sentiment & 1 embellishment. You know that is not as easy as you might think. If I didn't have to think about not using things I could have done it with no problem, but when I started thinking about it I wanted to use this or that. Well it got harder than I realized it would. So I would say it was very good for me to have the limit.
I used the SU Dry Brush Wheel for the background paper using Ranger Distress Vintage Photo Ink. I stamped the main image using Stazon and water colored it. The little sentiment in the corner is from the SU Warmest Regards set. The colors in the photo are a little off. The background paper is an olive green and the ribbon is a dark olive green. Sorry!!
It was so easy to use the wheel and I forget how easy it is! It is one of those tools you have sitting around and tend to forget about. So I may just have to keep it our right under my nose for a few days to remind me to use it more often.
Hope your day has been good so far. Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me!!
