Usually not what is truly important. susan jakovinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17469439626943554605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659573130035343343.post-88131353382131391042013-05-21T07:46:21.078-05:002013-05-21T07:46:21.078-05:00Great post. I learned this from my mom, she spent too much time worrying about the house rather than spending time with my dad or us kids.Christy Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15730414767785343296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659573130035343343.post-11836545252252471602013-05-20T21:55:11.865-05:002013-05-20T21:55:11.865-05:00No..I'm not busy. I've all the time in the...No..I'm not busy. I've all the time in the world. Can't figure out what is keeping people my age so busy. I've plenty to do, never bored, but anything I do could be dropped by a simple ring on the phone, knock on the door, or an email. I'd love those interruptions. I'm in transition. 22 years of elderly care in my home, empty-nest now (even of parents) and so much to go through, re-organize, tuck away...but I'd stop it all in the blink of an eye! For years, I dropped my activities to stay at the side of Dad's bed, & life moved on. I think the Church isn't doing what it ought to be doing - because we don't take the time to hang out together, & even share the busyness. We need to get back to being together.<br />How can you do the "each other" verses of the Word, when never together? I'm finding even the retired are too busy. As far as I'm concerned, there'll always be ministry as long as there is "each other". God bless your new path of serving the King with others.Climbing to the Higher Callinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04643410106870132376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659573130035343343.post-59918533345256962052013-05-20T19:33:07.012-05:002013-05-20T19:33:07.012-05:00Our pastor's sermon this weekend was titled, &...Our pastor's sermon this weekend was titled, "Whew." He encouraged us to recognize the busy-ness and slow down a bit. Choosing God's plan, doing it Jesus' way, means not being too busy! Yes, it's about striking a balance and just sometimes being there to be somebody's shoulder to cry on.Pepperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03213414455220310463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659573130035343343.post-45321450027781540412013-05-20T16:31:15.102-05:002013-05-20T16:31:15.102-05:00Am I busy? Thank you for reminding me that spending time playing with the kiddos should be my top priority. :)Jennifer Willeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12828179238610442096noreply@blogger.com
