Thanks To Meijers, A Piece Of My Garden Is Hanging On My Wall!

I am just thrilled with the last campaign I was chosen for as a BzzAgent. I was asked to get a photo printed onto an 11x14 canvas. Well I had never done anything like this. To be honest our whole family is not much into hanging photos up on the walls. Yes we have pictures & paintings, but not many photographs. I also thought it was going to be something complicated and would take a long time to get ordered and back. Boy was I wrong!

It took me what seemed like forever to pick out the photo I wanted. I vacillated for days over this one or that one. If I was going to do it I wanted to do it right. Then it hit me. There were some awesome prints I had seen in a Family Christian Store that I just loved. I could do something similar with my photo program and use that. It took me no time at all to figure out which photo to use once I decided that.

I cropped the photo, added a Scripture verse that seemed to fit the photo and copied it over to a disc. When I went into town next I took it along with me and was thrilled with the service I received. The girl at the photo counter, Kimberly, was awesome! She walked me through the whole thing step by step, and they are not hard steps at all. She even knew all about Bzz and wanted to know if it was fun being apart of it. Of course I told her yes and invited her to join! Unfortunately I had to go back home and re-size my photo for it to work, but she told me how to do that too and what size would work best. Kimberly was so helpful and so sweet!

I went back to the Meijers store a short while later and sat at the kiosk and in no time had my photo uploaded, ordered and receipt in hand! What surprised me was that it would be ready the very morning. I ordered it around 4 PM! That's awesome. Now yes I know it was done by computer and all, but still to have it ready that fast is great!! What a perfect last minute gift for someone. What a wonderful gift of any kind for someone.

Oh the verse I used was John 15:11, "These things I have spoken to you , that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full".  I know the photo doesn't show the verse too well, but in person it is very readable!

I highly recommend trying this for yourself. After showing it to some of my friends they can't wait to get one for themselves. Hopefully your Meijers will have a Kimberly who will help you with anything you have trouble with too. The hardest thing for you is simply what picture are you going to use?

Philips Wake-up Light Has Made My Mornings Better!!

Anyone who knows me very well or has even slightly known me for a long time knows how much I am NOT a morning person. I am the kind of person who takes forever to shake off that morning foggy feeling. Lots of my friends tease me about not asking me anything hard before 10 AM.

Well it's not quite that bad, but I don't function too well in the morning and come alive late at night. So for me one of my least favorite things in the world is the alarm clock. It doesn't matte whether it is the radio, which usually has some stupid song playing when it comes on, or the horrible nerve jolting buzzer, I just don't like the thing. Oh sure I appreciate those little red digital numbers letting me know what the time is, well and maybe the snooze button, but pretty much everything else, not so much!

SheSpeaks contacted me a while back and asked me to try out a product. When I saw what it was I was intrigued. They asked me to try the Philips Wake-up Light. I read a little about it and couldn't wait to sign up and try it out.

 

It arrived and was a little bigger than I thought it would be, but I love the thing!!! It could be twice the size and I would still love it. When I read the instruction book and got it set up I was a little skeptical about how well it would work, but after several mornings I was thrilled! I wake up a little before the alarm goes off now and there is a lovely light gradually growing in my rooms. And then the birds start chirping quietly. It's wonderful, calm, peaceful ,and I am ready to go even if I didn't get as much sleep as I should have. My husband even likes it. He said that he has noticed how much more energized he feels and less jolted out of sleep than he used to feel. To me that's the best part, it just wakes you up gently.

I've had THE most incredible fun day today!! This is something I just had to share with you all!!

Not a bad haul for one day!! Especially when you see that several items were wins from sweeps or blog giveaways. But here is the biggee!! Sitting on my porch when we (my husband and I) were going to go out to lunch (more on that coming) were two big boxes. I couldn't figure out what it might be. I wasn't really expecting something that big. When I finally opened them I started just cracking up!! They were full to the rim of Suave Professionals Hair Products!! You see about a month ago I won a year of free products from the Suave Professionals giveaway!! I'm posting a few pics here for you to see my goodies.

But my day was even better than all of this. We went to Office Depot on the way to lunch and got an aluminum hand truck that holds up to 250 lbs and is collapsible to less than 4" high and 1500 sheets of copy paper for $.97!! Yep 97 cents!!! Original cost, $60.97!! Done with gift card I won from an Office Depot game earlier this year.

Then we stopped by Meijers and got my canvas print for my BzzAgent campaign (more on that in a later post). Normally $30, today because of Bzz, FREE.

Then we went to lunch at Olive Garden. Our meal came to $25.63. We paid a whole total of $.63!! Used a Gift Card we earned to cover the rest.

Then we stopped at Walmart. I got almost $30 in groceries including 6 rolls of paper towels & 5 blocks of Cabot cheese, for $2.98!!!

I wish every day was like this. We spent a grand total of $4.58 for $146.53 of food and things. WOW!! And I got all that cool stuff in the mail too! I've had an awesome day!!! Now try and convince me spending all the time I do online looking for deals, taking surveys, printing coupons and so on is not worth my time?
